Car Manufacturers Relish India
Indian car industry has never been so promising and exciting. Techno features are not a part of the Indian car heritage but are definitely an integral part of the present growing industry. With the passing generation, Indian car sector is coming up with a range of cars falling in different price segments to fulfill the desires, dreams, and fancies of every single person. In the olden days, Hindustan Ambassador, Fiat Padmini, and Maruti 800 were introduced to serve people with an easy mode of transport. Gradually, as and when innovations made its debut in the Indian market, new cars kept on launching. One of the biggest challenges for the Indian market is the launch of Tata Nano, a unique concept car. The production of Nano was a shocking and surprising event for the global auto market. After the news and reviews about the car, car manufacturers around the world started focusing India for their future operations and activities. Every car manufacturer is in line to catch hold of Indian car designers and engineers who are expected to have the highest degree of wisdom and technical know-how. Apart from Nano, the entire small car sector has transformed in the country with many Indian car manufacturers like Hyundai, General Motors, Toyota, and Maruti Suzuki participating the race to produce small cars. Along with the small car segment, the luxury segment has also been refined and redesigned with innovative and high-end techno features. Nano Has Passed with Flying Colours
Tata Nano has faced massive number of hurdles in its way to the country. Continuing the battle with various ups and downs, Tata Nano also applies for the homologation test conducted at Pune’s ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India). Homologation test is a test that verifies the roadworthiness of any particular new car. Roadworthiness test is a must for every new car to test all parameters like including emission, noise and vibration of cars running on Indian roads. Astonishingly, the car confirms the Euro IV emission norms that have yet not come to India but is expected to become an Indian standard by 2009. During the test, this small wonder delivered 20 kmpl with its 623cc twin cylinder petrol engine. It was subjected to almost 100 tests over a period of 4 months. The car proved to be perfect to ply Indian roads. ARAI finally handed over the clearance certificate to Tata Nano for passing with flying colours. Congratulation Nano! You are just perfect! Another Participant of the Low-Cost Mini Game
As the low-cost mini game continues, Hyundai is the latest entrant of this game. This may be a micro battle for the car manufacturers who are racing to introduce the best car in the small segment. The company plans to produce its low-cost small car with support from its own facility set up in Hyderabad. The new small car from Hyundai is expected to compete with Tata Nano in all aspects. Hyundai has studied the deep core massive Indian market to make its car suitable, affordable and feasible for the Indian buyers. Hyundai has also studied the minds of Indian customers so that it can make better cars with improved driving conditions, styling cues and other features. Apart from Nano, the company also plans to beat other micro-offerings from Toyota, Fiat, Baja-Renault, Volkswagen and even General Motors. The new car will be designed exclusively for the Indian market. With this, the number of new cars in the industry is increasing at a faster pace. So, after Hyundai, how many more small and low-cost cars are expected to hit the Indian car market? Labels: Low-Cost-Car, New-Cars, Tata-Nano

Powerful Nano coming soon…..
It has been too much about the Tata Nano now. The Tata Motors is always in the news for their new developments or acquisitions. Everyone is eagerly waiting to see the Nano in the roads, which is expected to hit the market by this Diwali. This one lakh car has always carried some spicy news either with regards to price, production, booking or its competition with the rivals. This time the Nano has ‘powerful’ reason to be in speculations. It is said that the company will use a diesel engine for the car which is developed by the German powertrain maker FEV. The engine will carry a 2 cylinder CRDi turbocharger and also fuel injection system developed by Bosch. But one has to wait for the Nano with CRDi turbocharger engine as it will make the entry in to showrooms only by 2009 mid. Labels: Diwali-celebrations, One-Lakh-Rupee-Car, Tata-Nano

Maruti Wipes Nano competition
As Tata Motors is gearing up to roll out the Nano, the largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki is gaining confidence that the Nano will fail to compete any of its car models. If think wisely, it is much true because this 1 lakh car is of no value to people who are buying Santro, Indica, Indigo and other cars falling in a higher price category. Even people who can afford to buy a car like Alto that falls in the 2 lakh category will also rarely go for the Nano. Even the people belonging to lower middle class who cannot even buy a two-wheeler, how will they afford to spend Rs 1 lakh? As it is, 1 lakh price tag is expected to be raised by some percentage during the final launch. Just wonder who will actually buy Tata Nano? It’s is creating a new segment. The only percentage of people going for the Nano attributes to the category that can afford a two wheeler and are aiming to own a car. If given a second thought, only class would go for the Nano. This is because in cities like Bangalore and Mumbai, the roads are jammed with cars and bikes. In such cases it is really easy and more convenient to drive a bike rather than spending hours in a car and wait for the traffic to clear down. What do you think? Will Maruti win its own confidence? Or the Nano will kill the confidence of Maruti? Labels: Car-competition, Tata-Nano

More Hurdles in the Way of Nano
Everyone is eagerly waiting to see the Nano rolling in the roads. But the commercial launch of the car may face obstacle from West Bengal's resurgent opposition Trinamool Congress. It seems that the party is not supporting the launch. The company is almost at the verge of completion and such a hurdle at this stage is heartbreaking. We came across this news in a local newspaper and noticed that everyone associated with the launch is with head and heart ready to face this non-cooperative movement. What if the company is unable to fight the cause? What if the launch is delayed? What if….? There are many questions and confusions waving in people’s minds. But it’s true that if the launch gets delayed, almost 150 car dealers who have set up new shops for selling the world’s cheapest car will have to face a heavy loss. Labels: New-Car-Launch, Tata-Nano
