Skoda posts 81 percent increased sales

It is amazing that a ‘plain Jane’ Skoda of the west is finding so many takers in India. It has literally floored Indian car buyers with its bold European looks and solid appearance. Skoda has been showing impressive sales over the last few years.

This April Skoda India reported 81.4 percent increase in domestic sales. The company sold 1,814 units in the month as against 1000 units reported last year. Guess who pushed the sales graph! It is the small car Fabia, launched in January and sold 834 units in April.

The small car is carrying the Skoda brand higher solely on its shoulders. It is also the first car that pushed small car prices ranging Rs 5 lakh–Rs 7 lakh. It came with a baggage of great looking features, which helped to convince buyers that it is value for money.

Perk Up!!

Let me make it very clear. I dont blog, I dont write, I am not good with my languages...all that I am here for is letting everyone who, just in case, still does not know, that Skoda is launching its premium hatchback Fabia in india pretty soon...love the car so much that i have taken up personally an initiative to tell as many people as possible about the car...spread the word and take my word as well...it is nothing like those cars you might have driven earlier...

Skoda set date to launch Fabia

Skoda Fabia was supposed to hit Indian roads by 2007 year end. However, it has postponed its launch to January 10th 2008 due to various reasons. The much awaited Skoda Fabia will be available in petrol and diesel engines. The roomy interiors and spacious boot is said to be the highlight of this new car.

The car has a list of standard and optional features including sun-roof, Climatronic air conditioning, 6-CD auto-changer, projector headlamps, and cornering fog lamps. Skoda Fabia also comes equipped with loads of safety features that are sure to cut-down the accident rates. The comfort features in the car include adjustable front seats and a proper ventilation system. This widely anticipated car might be priced between 4.5-6 Lakh.

With all these luring features it goes without saying that Skoda Fabia will pose a tough competition to the other manufacturers.
