Maruti to get Fuel Efficient Engines

Most of the car enthusiasts love and prefer buying Maruti cars. This is mainly because of the low maintenance cost and high durability of the cars.

Driven by the increasing demand for Maruti cars by car consumers, the company has introduced a new engine plant in India.

Excitingly, this new car plant has a production capacity of 240,000 fuel-efficient petrol engines. More number of engines definitely means increasing number of cars.

Speculations reveal that the company is expecting to design a new KB series of engine that will probably power the upcoming car Maruti Suzuki A-Star. This proposed car is likely to roll out somewhere between December 2008 and January 2009. Many of you must be waiting for the car. Longer the wait better is the fruit!

With this the company also plans to push up car sales and attain desired sales in the domestic car market.

Volkswagen Cars to get Independent Identities

The German auto giant Volkswagen has decided to split its sales and service networks for all cars. The company wants to create unique identities and plans to maintain separate outlets and marketing teams for all the three brands.

However, group synergies would be attached for the backend operations like logistics, finance and procurement would be shared amongst the group companies. Currently the group also shares the manufacturing units. But once the Chakan plant becomes ready, some of the models will be shifted to the new plant for production.

Volkswagen models in India are very popular and with the recent launch of Jetta, the company has added another feather to their cap. This stunning sedan is known for its sporty and powerful design coupled with luxurious features.

Well, this strategy will surely help the company to retain elite brand identities for all the three brands.

Chrysler’s Car Plant in India

American auto maker Chrysler has made up its mind to enter into the Indian car market with its new car plant in Chennai. Chrysler is in talk with the Tamil Nadu Government to set up a green field facility in the state.

Chrysler being one of the global car companies still does not have its presence in the Indian car market so this can be a good start. Chennai will beat the Mumbai port in getting one more foreign investor. Both the ports are country’s upcoming business destination.

The state government has thought of signing a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) for this project valued Rs 30,000 crore in this financial year. Hope the project gets the green signal, which will surely boosts the Indian car Industry.
