Mobile Phones and Driving: Can They Go Together?

Nattering away with mobile phone behind the wheels has become a fashion these days.

Certain things are really out of thought and understanding. Why do people have long chat on mobile while driving?

Many people have a misconception that they are above all and follow their rules and regulation. Trust, it’s only a misconception. Infact it’s not even a fallacy but attitude.

The driving laws, road regulations and traffic rules are the same for all sections of people. Whether a person is driving a luxurious BMW or a simple Maruti 800, laws, rules and regulations applies to all. But this thing doesn’t fit in the mind of affluent people driving top-end cars.

Most of the times people driving Porsche, BMW or Mercedes-Benz are found nattering away with a mobile handset held to their ears. These are those people who are not bothered about the rules, safety measures and any other regulations. They are only concern about the high-end luxury car they are driving and the attitude they behold.

This attitude and the feeling of being at the top lead to various car accidents and even fatalities. This is because the use of mobile phone while driving reduces driver’s concentration, perception and alertness.

Recent advancements in technology have made it possible for the driver to make safer calls behind the wheels. But still that’s only for urgency. Alertness and concentration is utmost important while driving, hence, Mobile and Driving can never go together?
