Driven by the news of increasing road tax, car manufacturers are luring customers with heavy discounts and offers. The government has announced a 2% increase of life time motor vehicle road-tax by the end of this month. The increased road tax is proposed to be effective from 1st August.

Just a month ago, during high inflation, Hyundai Motors came up with the exchange and upgrade offer and now comes Maruti Suzuki.

Maruti has announced an exchange and upgrade offer in response to the increase in road tax. Maruti is offering an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 on upgrading any Maruti car to SX4. This is one of the recent cars by Maruti that has attracted a massive number of people with its muscular looks and classic European style. The looks and style holds true for the SX4 caption “Men are Back”.

Maruti SX4 is the biggest and most spacious car in the segment with the highest ground clearance and steering mounted controls. It is a car that everyone will love to own.

So, why wait for the car to get costlier? Just rush into a Maruti Showroom and request for the exchange offer?

Don’t you think this is a good deal?

Maruti DZire is already desired by thousands of buyers in India. It was launched on March 26, and the company has reported that it has already sold over 5,000 units in this financial year.

Maruti’s impressive sales record seems to be going over the graph. After the lone rider SX4 helped the company top the mid-size cars category, DZire seems to be helping sales phenomenally. The small car segment has also posted an impressive growth.

With such a popular line up of cars, it is time that Maruti enhanced it with some global cars. We already know that A-star is coming in October. But a dash of luxury will spice up the Maruti portfolio very much.

Swift sedan Dzire is making a sudden appearance on Wednesday and not on Saturday as aired before. It it will be launched on Wednesday. It could give Maruti Suzuki two days of publicity and long queues of buyers booking it over the weekend.

Whatever, it is a clever strategy by MSIL to make quick sales and ensure long demand over several months. Its only sedan in market now SX4 which is already on top of the charts and Dzire seem to repeat history. Many believe that though the car similar to Swift in appearance has several firsts in its features.

Alloy wheels, which are usually festooned to give a rich look, today is just one of the types of car accessory that rules the road. In the beginning alloy wheels were designed keeping in mind racing cars, because they tend to decrease unsprung mass so that the suspension can respond quicker to the surface of the road, keeping the car steadier. They come with different tints that without any doubt increase a car's grandeur. Flattered by cars owned by celebrities, modern folk get them introduced in their own cars in order for their vehicle to stand out in a crowd. Alloy wheels are available in the market in a variety of different designs to suit the structure and outlook of almost any modern-designed car.

Some of the higher end models in India, such as the Maruti SX4, come with alloy wheels as a standard feature. Alloy Wheels conduct heat efficiently than the usual steel wheels, dispelling heat from the brakes competently and thus reducing the chances of brake failure in a crisis situation.

Replacing standard steel wheels with alloy wheels is known as "Aftermarket Wheels". Usually a part of an alloy wheel is steel combined with aluminium, magnesium, or other light-weight metals. There are many companies including "Aura" and "Neo" that exclusively market alloy wheels in India and the major foreign brands include Hijoin, League, and SM. Silver, gold, and hyper-crome finish wheels are in great demand in today's market.

Though not standard on many economy cars, because of the heavy pricing, alloy wheels are the most sought-after accessory. These eye-catching wheels start from Rupees 10,000 in the Indian market. Alloy wheels compared to the ordinary steel wheels are much lighter, more attractive and enhance the car price during a resale. The darker side is that they are expensive, hard to process, and prone to corrosion if the shielding coat comes off.

Now, decked in your car, these accessories need some extra care to look fresh and new. Alloy wheels require a certain deal of wheel maintenance, because they are usually prone to rust and dust and should be washed regularly with mild soap water to keep it free from soil and rust to retain their bright and gleaming stance.
