Currently, Jazz is globally considered to be the smallest car in Honda’s portfolio of cars. Now with high inflation, the company feels the need to produce cars smaller than its Jazz.

Aimed at reducing environmental emissions and shortage of fuel in near future, the company is also in progress to design and develop small cars that will take on less fuel and will be lower in CO2 emissions. The way forward, Honda plans to launch small and affordable hybrid engines. It also has plans to add more number of diesel engines in its car portfolio.

Honda Jazz will hit the Indian shores by next year and the company will launch another small car in a couple of years, a global car with an improved engine technology and better performance.

Audi Technology

The best brains of Audi have come up with an innovation that will take the frustration out of waiting for traffic signals.

Audi’s innovative system, christened as Travolution, is an awesome technology. This system will inform the driver in advance when the traffic lights ahead is going to change and whether the car will pass the signal at the current speed. The most interesting part of this advanced system is that if there is no traffic on road, then this latest invention by Audi will automatically turn the signal green. The system would be supported by new hardware installed at every traffic signal. Isn’t it something exciting and convenient?

This device is still under development and is being tested in Ingolstadt, Germany.

Such advanced technology will have a greater impact in Indian car market but sadly as every goodie comes last to India, so will this Audi Travolution.

Amby Has Its Own Charm

With the advent of new cars loaded with luxuries and amenities, the faith of the old Ambassador was lost in India.

Earlier it was the only choice for people when people think of cars but today a number of luxurious and advanced cars in all segments are available in the Indian car market. The wide choice of cars has imposed people to move away from the Ambassador. This king of yesteryear was gradually pushed out of contention.

But…it’s surprising to know that the Amby still holds its own charm. Nowadays, the old iconic car is becoming a hot favourite for expatriates working in the corporate sector of India’s IT hub. In the past couple of months, 6 Hindustan Ambassadors have been sold to foreigners living in Bangalore.

Foreigners in Bangalore feel that the Amby is an attractive car with a rich history. They just bask the glorious ride in this old car.

Indian Car Exporters Relishing the Era

The recent decline in car sales due to escalating fuel prices, rising interest rates and climbing input costs had badly hit the Indian car industry. All the car manufacturers were deprived of a successful smile and were forced to cut down their profit margins and push car sales at a lower cost. One after the other, some or the other bad news was swirling around the industry.

But now…that’s enough!

Though the domestic car sales have declined, Indian car exporters are relishing the ear. The weakening of rupee from Rs. 40 to Rs 46 in the current fiscal year has brought some smile on faces of car exporters. With the falling down of rupee, exporters like Hyundai Motor India and Maruti Suzuki are revising their export targets and exploring various overseas markets. This will definitely give them an opportunity to regain the lost smile.

Will the effort of revising export targets be beneficial? Or will the car manufacturers still stay in a negative terrain?

With the passing generation, Indian car sector is coming up with a range of cars falling in different price segments to fulfill the desires, dreams, and fancies of every single person. In the olden days, Hindustan Ambassador, Fiat Padmini, and Maruti 800 were introduced to serve people with an easy mode of transport. Gradually, as and when innovations made its debut in the Indian market, new cars kept on launching.

One of the biggest challenges for the Indian market is the launch of Tata Nano, a unique concept car. The production of Nano was a shocking and surprising event for the global auto market. After the news and reviews about the car, car manufacturers around the world started focusing India for their future operations and activities. Every car manufacturer is in line to catch hold of Indian car designers and engineers who are expected to have the highest degree of wisdom and technical know-how.

Amby Back to Rule

A year back, there were rumours about the fall of Ambassador but is this true?

Has the old Amby really made it’s exist from the country?

The old Ambassador has undergone various modifications and alterations to comeback on Indian roads with tough competition. Though the car has not succeeded in competing with high-end luxury cars and other techno dazzlers, it still has a prominent place in the history of Indian car industry.

Infact, in the international market, Amby is back to be the king.

The yesteryear Indian king is now ruling the streets of London. Tobia Moss in London has proved that the Indian-built Hindustan Ambassador can be a beautiful place to reside if adorned with creativity.

Most passionately embellished the car interior with red velvet upholstery, red and white embroidery on door panels, roof mirrors, ethnic music, silkscreen prints embroidered on seat back, and an illuminated Ganesha idol on the dash.

It’s hard to believe that an old cart can be a marvel on wheels with creative minds thrown in.

Global Car with an Indian Touch

Peep in the global car and get amazed!

The global car, Maruti Suzuki A-Star, is completely indianized.

If you open the door of any Indian car, interiors are almost the same with the only difference in the degree of style and fashion. But the global A-Star is loaded with surprises and amusements.

Maruti Suzuki A-Star is the first concept car completely designed by Indians. It is said that the theme for the car interiors was aviation and the keyword was floating. Keeping in mind the theme and the keyword, car interior designer Rajesh Kumar Gogu, gave the perfect look, appeal and theme to this concept car.

Entire instrumental panel is designed with a great deal of perfection including a touch screen LCD to display navigation, audio video controls, and AC controls.

The inspiring ambience is adorned with a pink accent in the sporty seat, instrumentation illumination and door trims. The designer has also used paisley motifs in the seats, motifs that are used in traditional Indian sarees.

Apart from these, Gogu has also challenged its car design with exhilarating inspiration from objects and themes native to Indian roots. These include bangles, ear-rings, mehandi patterns, rangoli and pooja paraphernalia.

With so many attractive features and detail designing of the car interiors, we guess each one of us would be awaiting the launch of ‘A’ class Maruti A-Star. Don’t you?
