Are we asking for more if we expect the new Hyundai Tucson to be launched in India? Certainly not, in the present condition of the Indian car market has made Indians dare to dream big on the car models that should be available to them. In fact the Indian customers should rejoice about their heavenly plight, where they get what they seek. Dreams and wishes apart, let us see what the new Hyundai Tucson crossover has in store for the millions of the car craze fraternity worldwide. As mentioned, it was just a dream to see the new Hyundai Tucson on the Indian roads, it is not an impossible dream though, so let us hope the dream will be soon cherished as what has happened with many other variants lately. And more over carmakers like Toyota and Nissan are introducing their new car models, Hyundai will consider this new Tucson as a true rival for the many other car brands. But for the Korean car lovers the reality is very flowery and enchanting. The Hyundai has launched its new Hyundai Tucson in Korea, Hyundai’s homeland. The car is a perfect blend of Hyundai’s new design language and the ix-onic concept car. It also has panoramic glass-roof, downhill brake control (DBC), rear-view camera, hill-start assist control, vehicle dynamic control (VDC). Available in the driving option of both the front wheel and all wheel the car will be available in one gasoline and one diesel engine.  The butch Hyundai Tucson is not going strong any more. So the Korean car maker is considering swapping it with its newest production. Hyundai ix35. The Hyundai ix35 is all set to step into the shoes of the mighty Tucson. The new Hyundai ix35 is bigger, muscular and bears a sharper-looking facade and comes with a sumptuous interior cabin as part of a move up market. Hyundai has seen the potential in the new Hyundai ix35 to fare as a good substitute for their Tucson. The Hyundai ix35 will make its first public appearance in the upcoming Frankfurt Fair in September. This crossover will be initially rolled out in Korea and other countries are likely to welcome this car in a year. The Hyundai iX35 will be pitched as an urban car, rather than an outdoor 4x4. The will be manufactured at the Hyundai/Kia’s Slovakia plant. This newbie is based on an i50-derived platform promises better dynamics and refinement. The Hyundai ix35 will be available in petrol and diesel and will be powered by a 2.0L engine. This engine will churn out a remarkable horsepower of 175 bhp and is expected to generate an impressive 149 g/km CO2 emission. Although a seven-seater arrangement is normal for Spot Utility Vehicle (SUV), the new Hyundai ix35 will only come in a comfortable five seats capacity. Maruti Suzuki India is all set to re-launch its high end Grand Vitara SUV with a new powerful engine. The new Grand Vitara will feature a 2.4 litre engine and will be called the GV 2.4 in India. It is expected to hit the markets next month. Currently the Grand Vitara is fitted with the 120 bhp, 2.0 litre inline-4 cylinder engine. The details of the power output are not yet revealed. The sales of the 5-seater SUV has been on a downward swing ever since the economic slowdown started in 2008. Despite the SUV market size being 25,000 units per annum, sales of Grand Vitara has been less than satisfactory. Almost all of Maruti Suzuki’s small cars are doing well in the Indian car market. It has eight small cars, one MPV, a mid-size sedan SX4, and two SUVs Gypsy and Grand Vitara. The pricing of the new Grand Vitara has not been revealed although the previous model carried a price tag of Rs 13.80 lakh. Despite its decent performance, the SUV has not matched up with record sales like its smaller siblings. By re-launching the SUV, the manufacture wants to highlight that the car stills exists. Auto analysts are skeptical about the sales of the re-launched SUV and keeping their guesses close to their heart. Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara has been rivaled by Chevrolet Captiva, and Hyundai Tucson. These SUV’s are doing extremely well in the Indian car market. India’s popular actor Shah Rukh Khan will be seen travelling in Hyundai car for the entire season of IPL (Indian Premier League). Incidentally, Shah Rukh Khan owns the Kolkata Knight Riders cricket team and is also the brand ambassador of Hyundai Motors. Managing director of Hyundai Motors South Africa Mr. Alan Ross handed over the Hyundai Tucson keys to Shah Rukh Khan at a ceremony in Cape Town. Shah Rukh Khan will be using Hyundai Tucson for himself and his entourage accompanying him in South Africa. The car will be for his exclusive use during his stay in South Africa. Hyundai Santro is a bestselling model from the company’s product line up in South Africa. The Indian subsidiary of the company which manufactures the Santro and the i10 exported around 10,000 models to the South African markets. Mr. Khan has been the brand ambassador of Hyundai Motors since the company entered India with its flagship model, the Santro. The company expresses that his face in the advertisement helped it a lot to settle firmly in India. King Khan also created a record by becoming the only brand ambassador to have a longest association with a company. Hence, Hyundai Motors has decided to offer him the Hyundai car as a gesture of its goodwill to the actor.
