After amusing and alluring the car lovers for a decade, the Ford Taurus SHO (Super High Output) went into hiding and now has plans of a grand return by next year. The year 2010 will witness the launch of the new Ford Taurus, a mid size performance sedan.
It is really interesting to watch the return of the Taurus after eleven long years. And also keeping in mind Y2K has brought in a new look for the car industry worldwide, it would be a tough stay for the Taurus if not shown at the right shades. It cannot be forgotten that the model vanished into thin air in 1999 merely because of the scarcity of popularity. And Ford in fact was ashamed to take it any further and decided to decline the production and push Taurus into darkness.
The new Ford that will be reintroduced in 2010 will not only have a Taurus nameplate but it will also re-launch the SHO model. The new styling and technology plans of the to-be- re-introduced Taurus SHO is expected to not disappoint the car lovers but will instead charm them with its new styling and performance.
The 2010 Taurus SHO will not resemble the base model, but will be slightly different from it. With a 2.6-liter Duratec V6 engine that produces 365 horsepower and 350 lb ft of toque and has a six-speed automatic transmission the car has all the components of a majestic sedan competent enough for the tough car market situation of the period.
The 2010 Taurus will have SHO branding, larger wheels, and aluminum interior trim accents. Well, it looks really tempting and now the only thing you can do is wait, wait for the coming of 2010 and 2010 Taurus SHO.
