Nothing is left unturned by the hit of recession. Even the richest sports, Formula One, is blown away by the wind of recession. The biggest hit to the sports was made by the immediate pull of Honda. After that all associated with the race were worried thinking that other car manufacturers may also pull out from F1.
But, thankfully, till now no car manufacturer has taken a backward step. Infact, Ferrari has introduced a new Formula One car in lines with new rules and regulations defined by the F1 Team for the 2009 F1 season.
The new F1 car is christened as F60 representing Ferrari's 60th year in this adventurous race. This new car was tested by Felipe Massa who lost the 2008 championship to Lewis Hamilton by just one point. He tested the car on the Mugello track. Usually F1 team takes test drive of all new cars in their home track in Fiorano but this year due to snowy weather conditions they were forced to drive it on some other track.
The new F1 car is also tagged as Ferrari's 55th F1 car since the car manufacturer joined the sports in 1950. This new car is excitingly adorned with wider front wings, higher rear wings, and the intelligent kinetic energy recovery system (KERS).
The KERS helps to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emissions without affecting the performance and efficiency of the car. With high degree of dynamism and engineering excellence, the new F1 car is all set to rock the 2009 F1 season.
