Save on Fuel and Drive Together
Driven by the rising fuel prices, car owners have shifted to carpooling.
The rising fuel prices have affected all sectors of the society. Most of the car owners are now accepting the option of carpooling. It is simply defined as a method of sharing a car to a same destination in order to reduce fuel costs and pollution.
Many commuters who are travelling to a same destination every morning and afternoon are pooling their cars so that they can save on fuel prices. All the commuters share the fuel prices of the shared car and give it to the car owner on a daily or monthly basis. This not only helps to cut down the fuel use and save fuel prices but is also a good way to reduce environmental pollution.
Even if you are someone who drive a car to office or work daily, then you should opt for the same fuel saving option. If anyone at your work place resides near your house then carpool will help you gain money. If not for the environment then at least give a thought over it for your pressurized pocket.

Kill me or ask me to drive in India!
I came across this site recently and decided to contribute to it. I am from Europe and am here on an exchange study tour. I have driven around in some of my friend’s
small cars in India and find it queer that the bonnet is placed such that the person
driving cannot see what’s right in front of the car. I do not know if I should look at the right of the car or the left, which is quiet impossible to see.
I wonder how people drive around on “assumptions”, as my friend puts it. It is amazing that most people in India have mastered this technique. Also flustering is the masses of three-wheel cars and two-wheelers who seem to constantly surround and escort you from the time you start till you reach your destination – absolute chaos!
I have decided to stop brooding over these matters and sit blissfully ignorant beside my smart Indian friend who drives like his hair is on fire!

Bollywood’s fast and the furious
We always talk about commoners
driving recklessly and forget those
celebrities who do the same causing injuries and in some cases even claiming lives. When we talk about careless driving by celebrities, the very first name that pops up is that of Salman Khan. It’s old story that Salman was accused of killing a person and injuring four others after ramming his
SUV into a shop in suburban Bandra, Mumbai in 2003. The case is still pending in court. After seeing several such cases, people are not taking these issues lightly. They have become wary of the dangers of reckless driving and are openly criticizing those who are breaking rules.
Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has received brickbats from none other than Bipasha Basu for his reckless driving habits. She has openly criticized him for driving his car at high speeds. I’m really proud of Bipasha for her bold step and her initiative to highlight the mistake of a fellow actor. There is a lesson - Don’t keep mum and instead express resentment if you find any of your friends, colleagues or others driving recklessly. This could prevent accidents and save precious lives.
