New Tata Nano Cars in IndiaTata Nano is a car that was received by the Indian car customers with great expectations and pomp.

Even though it was the cheapest car and the initial booking of the car crossed 2 lakh, there were still many who were not interested in the small car as it lacked many features that are available in the base models of cars these days.

And it didn’t take much time before it hit the headlines again, for not delivering the cars on time. There also came the news about how customers, one by one, are withdrawing their booking. But now here is something which you would never have thought about. The Tata Nano is been resold, even before they are been used for a higher price!

Yes, you have just read the fact right. There is still an increased demand prevailing in the market for this small wonder car.

And that could be the only reason why this car is been sold by the customers before it reaches their hands. And another obvious reason, why such a resale is happening, is that are people who are willing to pay almost 30 per cent higher price for the model.

This might give Tata a new idea of increasing the price of the car, even though not in lakh but at least in thousands. And it is sure that the increased price won’t bring down the demand of the car. But the company will not be doing so because the company will not be interested in breaking the promise of delivering the customers with a one lakh rupee car.

New Tata Nano in IndiaAfter taming the 'Big Cat' Jaguar, Tata is contemplating to launch the Tata Nano in the Nigerian Market by the end of next year. This move by Tata has been termed as an iconic decision.

With the introduction of Tata Nano in Nigeria, this people’s car and the world’s cheapest car is to do in Africa what it did for America with the production of Ford Model Ts. This is an important decision by Tata as it is tapping the potential in the average Nigerian, as public transport systems like metros are not available there.

The Nano is likely to carry a price tag of Naira 360,000 i.e., about Rs 1.16 Lakh in Nigeria, which is lesser than the price of most second hand saloon cars sold there. Tata Motors might as well go in the Nigerian market with CBU kits or be mass produced in Nigeria itself. Tata Africa Nigeria, a subsidiary of Tata Africa, the Indian auto major's African venture will market the world’s cheapest car in the Dark Continent. Currently Tata passenger cars are distributed and marketed by Accordian Investments Pty Ltd in South Africa and the commercials vehicles are distributed by Tata Automobile Corporation (SA) (PTY) Ltd.

The Tata Nano is likely to be marketed in other countries as well, but timelines, models and countries are yet to be finalised. Tata Motors has been upping the marketing promo for its cars, buses and trucks in Europe, Africa, Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia and Latin America.

The Indian car manufacturer is also working towards launching the Nano in the European markets by 2012. The Euro-specific Nano will be slightly bigger than the Indian version and will be fitted with a bigger and more powerful engine.

Alike in India, the introduction of the Nano in the Nigerian soil is expected to be branded as "every man behind the wheel". It’s nice to see the People’s car go places with this futuristic concept.

With the launch of its Grande Punto and other successful models like Linea and Palio Stile, Fiat is planning to get a firm hold of the Indian automotive space by introducing more new models in India.

The Italian giant, realizing the India's obsession for small cars, is all set to do its bit to the Indian auto market by developing a car with an engine capacity of 600 cc.

Fiat, which has a market share of about 10 percent in India, is planning to introduce micro cars in its portfolio. Details and specifications of the micro car is still in wraps.

It seems like Fiat is borrowing a cue from Tata Motors, after all it was Tata who realized the huge potential of micro cars in India with their Nano. Now with Fiat's plan to lay seize on the Tata Nano market, is TATA OK (pun intended) with that. Thank you, Tata, for guiding the Italians in the right path!!!

You have always heard car manufacturers round the world designing and producing hybrid cars. But, today, something that will interest you is a layman producing a new hybrid car. It’s a feeling of pride that this great layman is from the Indian continent.

This man resides in the Indian city of Guwahati, and has developed a hybrid running on solar gas with an engine capacity of 100-cc. He baptizes his car as ‘Kanso’. The car is gearless and has the power to reach a maximum speed of 40 kph. The expected price tag of this new hybrid car is Rs 1.50.

The price is definitely comparative to the world’s cheapest car, Tata Nano but both the cars are from different segment.

Just imagine solar panels churns out 320 watts of power. If you are really keen to know how the car looks like, then you should visit the Guwahati Auto Fair that starting on February 28.
