Tata Nano – Is Rs 1 Lakh Worth the Price

As everyone is awaiting the launch of world’s cheapest car, the Tata Nano, various facts are being revealed about the car.

When the car was first unveiled at the January 2008 Auto Expo, Ratan Tata promised to deliver the car at the price tag of Rs 1 Lakh, so that it could fit in the pockets and aspirations of common people. Unfortunately, as the year proceeded, inflation and soaring prices of raw materials hit the car market which obviously increased the cost of production. Still, the Chairman of Tata Motors lives up to the commitment.

But now, as the launch is being delayed, it’s difficult to say whether Tata will be able to maintain the same price tag. Some commentators even have a say that the car is not priced low, it’s priced correctly.

They feel that the age of high priced cars is on the verge of extinction except the high-end luxury cars. The Nano will also reflect a true picture of a car that is well-designed with perfection if logistics and operations are efficient and progressive.

With the price tag Nano offers, a new revolution is about to happen, a revolution that will place Tata Motors (an Indian name) on the global automotive map. Expectations from the Nano are sky high and Tata is on heels to fulfill them.

Exciting Car Offer – Buy One and Get Another at $1

Buy one car and get the other at $1! That’s a really a cool offer and once in a lifetime opportunity.

One Chicago based car dealer has announced an exciting offer for car enthusiasts in U.S. You’ll roll over with thrill to know that you can buy a '08 PT Cruiser for $1 with the purchase of $40,000 luxury SUV, 2008 Chrysler Pacifica. Apparently, many of you would run to grab this offer. It’s not worth missing it. But sadly, the offer is only valid in U.S.

The reason is none other than the slowdown in car market. The company is definitely losing revenue and profit as it is also investing a huge amount for promotional and branding activities. But, the lost is acceptable if they manage to cope up with the falling economy.

Both the cars are great in terms of style, mileage, and performance. Just imagine if any such offer to travel to India. Obviously, not talking about the special scheme on Pacifica and Cruiser in India. But, how about an offer of buying Mercedes-Benz E-Class and getting a Maruti Suzuki Swift at Rs 1 Lakh. Sounds interesting!

Just hold on your imaginations, as this kind of offer is very rare, and it is quite difficult to say if any such offer will ever make its debut to India.

Scorpio on Chinese Roads

Mahindra Scorpio is fast running on Indian roads and is soon going to hit the Chinese shores.

Mahindra has already prepared itself to make its debut in the American market with its highly successful Scorpio and proposed car Xylo. Now, when the company is ready for an international move, it also wishes to celebrate a splashing debut in China.

China is considered to be the second largest car market after US and so the company feels that a hit on Chinese roads will bear sweet fruits. Mahindra has its presence in the country in terms of tractors but now it is evaluating the possibilities and potentials of introducing SUVs to the market.

Earlier the company stayed back because of the strict government regulations. But now it feels that international expansion is required for a prosperous growth in the industry.

Buy a Home to Get a Car

The caption ‘buy a home to get a car’ sounds so simple. But is it that simple.

Along with the car market, the entire economy is dwindling with high inflation and financial crisis.

The middle class section of the society has headed towards a tough, challenging, and strange crossroads, a point where they have to cut down their basic necessity of life. Buying a home has become a challenge and even buying a car. Both are a necessity today.

But, interestingly, today real estate owners are offering special schemes and discounts to lure customers. They are not able to reduce or cut down the actual cost because of increasing inflation but they are definitely offering incentives in terms of interiors and even cars.

Yes, some of the real estate owners are offering cars to all their customers on booking a flat. This means, to buy a car of worth Rs 5 lakh or even Rs 10 lakh, you have to buy a house worth Rs 25 or 40 lakh.

Car manufacturers are simply trying to club promotional activities to push car sales. But is this the right strategy for advertising or branding?

Blessing for Used Car Business

When the car market is suffering from intense liquidity crunch, used car business is leading the game.

The severe financial meltdown has proved to be a blessing in disguise for pre-owned and used car business. Car financers are moving away from giving car loans, which is pulling car buyers towards second hand cars.

Today, you can get a number of used cars at attractive prices and people are taking advantage of these offers. Successful car models like the Hyundai Santro, Maruti Suzuki Alto, and Maruti Suzuki WagonR are gradually becoming the hottest pick up from the used car market. This is not only because of the low-cost availability of these cars but also for being the most reliable cars.

You would be amazed to know though one or two years old, these car models deliver good performance and fuel efficiency if maintained well. So, if you are one among those who is shattered with financial downturn and is moving towards buying a used car, make sure that you choose a reliable seller or a car dealer.
