After tasting success with the models diesel Dzire sedan and Swift hatchback, Maruti Suzuki wants to introduce diesel versions of its car models. It has also equipped the recently launched Ritz with a diesel engine.

It is observed that the demand for diesel cars has been increased considerably in recent times. For instance, the demand for the diesel version of Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is relatively more than the petrol variant with waiting period of 3 to 5 months. Seeing this, Maruti plans to add more diesel cars in its credential. Taking a step towards the plan, Maruti Suzuki has raised its diesel engine capacity by 1 Lakh which will make an overall capacity of 3 Lakh by 2010. Currently, it is not been specified by the company how much the waiting period for the diesel model will be reduced with the expansion of the engine capacity. But surely this will help the company to meet the demand conveniently.

Its closest rival Tata Motor’s interest in diesel variant might be another reason for concentrating on diesel cars. Though both the car brands have major share in the Indian car market, they want to retain their positions by introducing the commanding car models.

New Fiat Linea Cars In India

A lot is happening in the international car industry nowadays, the results of which could decide the fate of many brands in different countries. After General Motors and Chrysler collapsed following a downturn in the auto industry, Italian car manufacturer Fiat offered a bid to add General Motors and Chrysler to its kitty. If it succeeds, Fiat will take upon Toyota, currently the largest car manufacturer in the world.

Fiat was struggling to hold to its business but after 2003 it has made profits in consecutive years. It is almost on the verge of taking over Chrysler and now the Italian company also wants the Opel brand, a European arm of General Motors. This move will help Fiat consolidate its position in the automotive world. The company is leaving no stone unturned to achieve its ambitious plans.

Fiat manufactures nearly 7 million units of automobiles annually. It also owns super car brands like the Ferrari and the Maserati. Whenever Fiat succeeds it will prove a major challenge for China, India and other Asian car markets which are reporting a high growth rate.

Indian players should prepare for that competition that is sure to infect the Indian car market once Fiat attains its goal. Fiat has been in India since 60 years and currently has a tie-up with Tata Motors for manufacturing, supply, and servicing facilities of its car models.

Imitated Rolls-Royce Phantom has amazed car manufacturers across the globe. Rolls-Royce Phantom is one such car that many car buyers just dream to buy. For such dreamers a Chinese car manufacturer has introduced an imitated version of the Phantom that looks strikingly similar to the expensive beauty on wheels but is much cheaper.

The imitated copy is actually the Chinese philosophy of repeating what the west is doing and creating outstanding copies of beautiful and original creations. Named as Geely GE, the artistically copied Phantom has dazzled the car enthusiasts. The shape, design, cues, and the style are all similar to the traditionally unique Phantom. Even the large chrome grille, slender tail lamps, and sculpture of a winged creature on the nose are all similar to what adorns the beauty of the Phantom.

The interior of the car is quite different from the beautiful ambience of the Phantom. Though it holds some elegance, it is a bit eccentric and is still comfortable to make worthwhile ride. With all similar features to the original Phantom and an affordable price tag, the car worth the purchase.

Cars are becoming so friendly that now you can even pamper your pets in your car. It is believed that most of the Americans are crazy for pets especially dogs and to suit their requirement Honda has introduced a dog-friendly car.

Dog-friendly car? Sounds too strange but that’s what Honda calls its new car that comes with a cushioned dog bed in the trunk fitted with a built-in water bowl and fan. It also has a ramp to help less agile dogs get into the car.

The pet-friendly car is designed on the platform of Honda’s Element utility vehicle that was showcased at the New York Auto Show. Surprisingly, the car was unveiled with the help of a rescue dog named Sammy.

Pets have now become more like family for many and this has increases a demand for a special pet-friendly car in the market. Apart from refined features for comfort of the pet the dog-friendly version of Element also comes with easy-wash seat covers so that even if the pet makes it dirty it can be easily cleaned. The most interesting part is the fitted dog bed with restraints to ensure safety of the pet.

The car manufacturer is still to add more pet-friendly features in the car that is expected to go on sale in U.S. by the end of this year but no clues whether it will ever come to India. If it does it would be really interesting and incredible.

Skoda has a long lasting presence in the Indian car market with some of the great cars rolled out from its stable. Skoda cars like the Superb, Octavia, Laura, and the Fabia are doing wonders in the market and have also win appreciation from car buyers across the country.

Now the car manufacturer charges up to drive into the midsized C segment where it can spark a competition with the leading sedans like Ford Fiesta, Fiat Linea, Hyundai Verna, and Maruti Suzuki SX4. Till now the company has mainly rejoiced its position in the C+ and D segment but now it desires to enter new segments as well.

Skoda made its first foothold in the premium B+ hatchback segment last year with the launch of Skoda Fabia. And now the desire to drive into the C segment gets stronger. This desire sparks the desire to launch a car falling in the range of Rs 7 Lakh and Rs 10 Lakh.

As the company is gearing up to enter into the C segment you may also find new variants of the Octavia rolling out in near future. There are speculations that the Octavia will be completely modified and positioned in the C segment.

There are no clues as to when the company will launch the new car falling in the C segment but all that is known is the fact that Skoda wants to introduce a strong product that will be aggressively priced to compete in the C segment.

New Tata Nano Cars In India

After hearing the launch delay of Tata Nano in 2008, people were disappointed and their level of spirit fell but now Nano has once again created a curiosity among the people with its final launch. The excitement is well seen with record number of bookings for the ultra cheap car.

The interesting part of the Nano is that in just a span of five days more than 51,000 forms for Nano has been sold only from the Tata dealers. This shows the Nano demand. But sadly the car manufacturer has limited the production to 50,000 cars in the initial years. This means many people would have to wait longer.

This figure is just from the dealers, forms are also available at other places like SBI, its subsidiaries and associates, other chosen financiers and outlets of Tata Finance, Westside, Croma, Titan and Tata Indicom have also registered more bookings.

Must say Nano is steeling the show and has spread its magic across the country. The low cost car is in great demand. The car manufacturer is going to make a good bag of money with Nano.

In order to make it more easy, it has tied–up with various banks for easy car loans at competitive price. Tata foreseeing the success of Nano has created necessary arrangements for its customers.

Toyota pioneers the rear-seat center airbag to enhance safety and security of rear-seat car passengers. It sounds strange as how can an airbag be fitted in the rear seat but that’s where Toyota has showed its potential and technological creativity.

This innovative airbag is fitted in a large, fixed center console in the back seat. When the car is hit from the sides, the airbag will deploy from the top of the centre console and act as a barrier restraining rear seat passengers from colliding with each other.

This introduction by Toyota has embarked a new journey in the path of innovative discoveries positioning it again in the global automotive map. Toyota does not stop here when it comes to safety. The car manufacturer is still innovating technologies that will respond more effectively in case of accidents. Curtain shield airbags and knee airbags are also introduced by Toyota to enhance safety of the drivers as well as passengers.

BMW is experimenting rocket science in cars to go with the advancing modern age of science and technology. What we would see five years down the line is clearly portrayed by the car manufacturer that has joined hands with the NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) to use their technology in order to boost fuel efficiency and lower harmful greenhouse emissions.

The theory that NASA uses to send their rockets to space involves the use of thermoelectric generators that transform thermal energy into electricity. BMW desires to bring the same concept to earth and use the thermoelectric generators in its range of luxury cars. When these generators will be equipped in cars, the transformed electrical energy will be used to charge the batteries of the hybrid or electric cars. This will tremendously help improve fuel efficiency and drastically reduce level of emissions.

Presently, the skilled engineers of BMW are experimenting on the use of this technology at the company’s high-tech experimental lab in Palo Alto, California. The company is expecting to introduce the rocket science in their cars in the next five to six years. It is believed that a BMW sedan will experience about 13% reduction in fuel consumption with the car running on rocket science.

The generators powering the space rockets are very expensive. And so BMW is also trying to introduce better strategies to pass on least price increase to the buyers so that the technology can be commercially viable. BMW feels that in the next 20 years the NASA technology is sure to take over other alternative fuels.

New Honda Accord Cars in India

If you are an ardent lover of Honda Cars then it’s time for you to save your pockets. Honda is soon going to raise the prices of its entire range of cars in India by Rs 30,000 to 3,54,000.

Though it’s tough to accept the price hike at this stage as recessionary pressure is not completely relieved. But the manufacturers have no other options left with them. In the past 8 months Indian rupee has depreciated by over 16% and the Japanese Yen has strengthened by 10.5%. Currency fluctuations have driven Honda to increase car prices. And this is mainly because it has tremendously increased the cost of import. For some time the manufacturer did absorbed the impact but how long?

No car manufacturer can carry on absorbing the impact of high input cost as well as high import cost anymore. And so is Honda.

Honda CR-V is an imported car model whose price has been increased by Rs 3, 54,000. The prices of Honda City has been increased in the range of Rs 30, 000 to Rs 35, 000 and Civic has been raised by Rs 50, 000 to Rs 60, 000. Even the Honda Accord will now be costlier by Rs 1, 00, 000. The price of CR-V, Civic and City will be effective from April 1, 2009 whereas Honda Accord will bear the revised price tag from March 16, 2009.

New Mercedes-Benz S-Class In India

Dependable and reliability are the two major aspects that car buyers look for while purchasing a car. If these two factors are overlooked or misguided by a car manufacturer, the company loses credibility, brand image, and customers’ confidence.

Astonishingly, Mercedes Benz and one of its dealers have been dragged into court for misleading a customer by selling a limited edition of a car under tag of it being the latest model. The customer approached the Merc dealer in February 2003 to buy a C-180 model of Mercedes Benz which is a regular edition. But he was offered with another model of C-180K which was the limited edition. The sales person misinterpreted the customer by hiding the fact of ‘limited edition’ and saying it was a latest model introduced recently in the market.

Learning the faulty information given to him, the customer headed to the consumer court and after studying the case the court asked the manufacturer and the dealer to pay a sum of Rs 5 Lakh for the deceptive act. The argument stated that the car had already been used for over 50,000 km by the consumer and this dispute raised by the dealer was overruled by the court saying that it was immaterial.

It is transparent from this incidence that we could not depend on dealers blindly for information. So it is better to make a complete market research of a car before stepping into any dealer showroom.

The Indian car market has come a long way. Earlier, Indian car industry was very far away from the developed nations like U.S. and Japan. But now it holds a well-known position in the global automobile map. In today's era, the Indian car industry is now one of the most vivacious, widespread, and optimistic market globally.

Recently, there has been an immense growth in the car industry and one can expect more input to the economy from this segment. Compared to other industry, the Indian car industry has received a great attention from the global market. They have the realised the potential for their products which are flavouring the taste of success in the country.

There are various factors that escorted to the success of the Indian car market. These supports have played a vital role in bringing up the car market.

Firstly, unlike earlier, now the government is more supportive offering helpful auto-centric policies that include better infrastructure, attracted investments, and growth oriented economic policies. Recently, when the car industry was facing a troubled time due to recession, government reduced the CENVAT (Central Value Added Tax) by 4% as a relief package.

Secondly, the surge in competition among car manufacturers has been another important factor that influenced the car market. With the emergence of multinational companies, the competition level has increased giving a direction to the car industry. This resulted in many tie ups and joint ventures resulting in better products. Some of the car manufacturers have also invested large sum on R&D to build their own empires.

Lastly, customers have also taken an active role in the growth of the car industry. It is said that a customer is a king and should be treated royally. In recent times, the buying capacity of Indian consumers has increased until it was bitten by the recession bug.

As many car manufacturers are giving a new touch to their existing cars in order to accelerate their product sales in the depressed market, Maruti Suzuki is also following a similar strategy to persistently hold the car market. Its successful hatchback the WagonR and the MPV Omni will get a new face with distinct look and style.

The new WagonR would be designed and constructed on the platform of MR Wagon that lays emphasis on a more elegant design, spacious interiors, and versatile seating arrangement. It would be sportier in looks but retain its tall-boy design.

Even the all-new Omni would now have a re-designed and attractive appeal. It would be designed on the Versa platform with refreshing and premium features. Likely to be renamed as O2, the car would carry a higher price tag. It may even replace the Versa and would beckon a contagious competition in its segment.

With the intact brand name of Maruti Suzuki, these cars have experienced a great success in the car market. Hope their new avatars too witness similar triumph.

With increasing number of road fatalities, car safety features are the primary catch in cars by car buyers nowadays. Though India is far away from other nations in implementing stringent norms for necessary safety features in cars, but Indian car manufacturers are developing cars stressing on safety features that will follow the European standard.

Car manufacturer like Tata Motors and Mahindra are soon to invade the European market and the key feature that will drive their car sales in the Western market are safety features. They have given safety the prime importance in their cars because European customers are more aware about safety mechanism of cars. European buyers are even more drawn to cars that have good star ratings by the Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme).

In Europe, new cars are rated by the Euro NCAP with 'star ratings' (1 to 5) depending upon performance in various crash tests, like front, side and pole impacts, and impacts with pedestrians. Now as the Indian car manufactures are planning to drive their cars in the European market, they are aggressively working to meet the European safety standard.

New Porsche 911 Convetible Cars in India

In the fast growing car industry, changes are inevitable. We have all recently witnessed the downfall of the US’s Big Three (General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler). Even the government’s bailout package was not of much help to these auto giants and General Motors lost its position of top most car manufacturer in the world. Toyota overtook General Motors reporting a strong sale over other car manufacturers.

Shockingly, now the Europe’s largest car manufacturer is taken over by the sports car legend Porsche marking another big change in the car industry. This time the battle is not for acquiring any position or title but for taking control over the other. The company has purchased more than the 50% of Volkswagen shares and also has plans to raise its stake in Volkswagen to more than 75 percent to take a complete control of the group.

The plan to obtain Volkswagen’s shares was on cards since last year but was not executed due to the uncertain stock market. With this acquisition, Porsche is now eligible to make an offer for outstanding shares in the heavy-truck manufacturer Scania, of which Volkswagen is the dominant shareholder but Porsche has revealed that it would offer only a minimum price for Scania as it had "no strategic interest" in the company.

The worsening condition of these big car manufacturers clearly depicts the current turmoil in the car industry which is badly hit by economic meltdown.

Volkswagen has proved its brand position in the Indian car market with the flagship model Jetta, a car that is admired for its excellent quality, drivability, and performance.

This high-end beauty on wheels has been recently honoured with the title of 'Executive Car of the Year 2009' by the Indian automotive magazine, Autocar India. Autocar's awards are widely accepted and considered as a benchmark for excellence in India. People related to automobile industry including consumers, car manufacturers, and auto experts recognize Autocar awards as the most trusted word on automobiles.

The Jetta has experienced a successful presence in the country winning hearts of Indian car buyers. You would be amazed to know that since the inception of Jetta in India in July 2008, the company has successfully sold 1,000 Jettas. This high number within a few months and at a time when the Indian car market was severely hit by recession is mind blowing.

There were sixteen cars and eight bikes that were nominated for the award. But the award was bestowed on the Jetta. And there is nothing strange in it. This great car having global standards with respect to all automotive aspects suitably deserves this respected award.

Greener fuels like LPG and CNG are gradually gaining prominence in the car industry. Many car manufacturers have started implementing the use of these fuels in their respective car models. Many are still on track and heading towards a greener environment.

Taking for example Hyundai that has already introduced greener fuels in its successful compact car, Hyundai Santro and a CNG version of Hyundai Accent. Moving a step further, the company also plans to launch LPG and CNG versions of its Getz.

Even General Motors is persistently working to introduce green versions of all their car models. GM already has a CNG version of its Optra running successfully in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Vadodara where CNG is readily available. There are no plans to stop the production of the petrol and diesel versions but CNG and LPG versions will definitely be a better option in the Indian future.

In line with Hyundai and General Motors, Mahindra-Renault also started dispatching the CNG versions of Logan, especially for the taxi market. In a city like Mumbai where Logan is adopted in huge numbers by a leading taxi service provider, Meru, CNG version may prove to be a blessing for both the taxi service provider and the car manufacturer.

The initial additional cost of gas run vehicles and a weak network of gas-dispensing stations will prove to be a major deterrent in introducing these vehicles. But still there is nothing that can bring down the desire of these car companies to introduce greener fuels.

This initiative is not only a profitable decision for them, but also for the betterment of human race.

It’s really depressing to know that a leading car manufacturer is now forced to borrow funds from public.

This initiative is taken by Tata Motors to fulfill its ongoing requirements including the funding of Jaguar and Land Rover deal. Today, we actually realize how hard the impact of recession is on the Indian car market. Till date, we heard about General Motors and Ford pleading for survival. But, today, the situation has become so worst that a car manufacturer like Tata is bound to take fund from public and raise capital. The drip in car sales in November also reflects the current crisis in the car industry.

It’s the first time since 1995 that Tata is borrowing from the public of up to Rs 2,700 to raise capital. But, even then the company offers benefits to the public by offering an 11% annual interest for a period of up to three years, 10% interest for one year on a minimum public deposit of Rs 20,000 and 10.5% for two years.

So, at one hand where Tata will raise its fund, on the other hand public will enjoy the high interest rates on the amount they deposit with the company.

New Honda Civic Car in India

Hold your breath Honda car lovers. Honda cars will now be available at an expensive price tag. The company has decided to increase the price of its entire portfolio of cars by Rs 1 Lakh to Rs 1.5 Lakh from January next year. This is depressing for those who are planning to buy Honda cars and obviously relaxing for those who have already purchased one and are rejoicing the elegant ride.

But, if anyone of you is actually keen and sure to buy any of the Honda cars then you still have time to buy with the actual price tag. As the company has decided to implement the raised prices with the oncoming New Year, you can make up your mind to stamp upon a confirmed decision to buy a Honda car.

Many of you must be thinking that during this time of financial downturn, Honda is actually doing injustice to car consumers by increasing the car prices. But it’s not their fault as well. The production cost with the increasing cost of raw materials has increased so much that the car manufacturers is forced to take such an initiative. The weakening of Indian Rupees has further fueled the senses of Honda. This eventually compels the company to increase the price tag of all its car models.

The price of Honda’s leading SUV, Honda CR-V is expected to increase by Rs 1.5 Lakh, luxury sedan Accord would go up by Rs 30,000 – Rs 50,000 and the most successful car in Honda’s fleet, Honda Civic, would have an elevated price tag of Rs 10,000 – Rs 20,000.

So, now it is the right time for you to make a decision to purchase a Honda car.

New Mercedes-Benz M-Class Cars in India

Every car manufacturer is bawling about how the global recession has affected their stand in the car market. Has this economic pressure actually influenced every car manufacturer? No!

When most of the car brands are thinking of cutting down their production capacity and sales target, some of the luxury car majors have a different story to narrate. Here is the one instance of positive car growth in India.

Renowned luxury car leader, Daimler, who owns the Mercedes brand, is expected to introduce six new models from their AMG segment by this year-end. Wow! Six new models despite the financial crunch…is something interesting.

These car models will carry an expensive price tag ranging from Rs 1.25 Crore to Rs 3 Crore and will be custom ordered and delivered directly from the land of Merc. The delivery period may take two to three months depending on the customer’s choice.

Mercedes has rolled out around 20 models globally under the AMG make that comprises of sedans, coupes, wagons, SUVs, roadsters, and convertibles.

Currently Mercedes-Benz sells nine models in India that include sedans, coupes, convertibles, sport utility vehicles, and multi-purpose vehicles. During the April-October period, Mercedes-Benz India sold 1,936 units, which is a 46 percent growth compared to 1,322 units for the same period last year in 2007.

The sales number of car brands like Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Bentley, and Porsche have also seen similar increments in 2008 compared to 2007.

Does this mean that the financial crisis is only for the middle-class and below? The high-society in India is certainly not showing any sign of relenting the purchase of expensive luxury cars. This is definitely something to think about.

You would be glad to know that declaring fuel efficiency of a car by the company is now mandatory.

Car manufacturers will now have to mention the average fuel consumption of their car models before marketing their cars in the market. This initiative is aimed at promoting fuel-efficient vehicles in the industry.

Furthermore, this kind of information will also help car consumers to make a perfect decision while buying a new car. As these consumers will be well-informed of the fuel-consumption, they won’t have any kind of perplexity if they ever desire to buy a fuel-efficient car.

Even after consumers buy the car, they won’t regret buying a car that they thought was fuel-efficient. Every car manufacturer will reveal the secrets of fuel efficiency and fuel consumption without misleading the consumers.

Hyundai is celebrating the production of its 2 million cars. In the course of this celebration, it’s touching to know that the car manufacturer has spread an unprecedented light of humbleness.

You will be amazed to know that Hyundai has donated its 2 millionth car to a Mumbai based NGO CRY as a goodwill gesture. CRY (Child Relief and You) is a leading promoter and supporter of child rights that has been in the sector since three decades. The association ensures that children are not deprived of their basic rights.

H.S. Lheem, Managing Director of Hyundai, handed over the car keys symbolically to the brand ambassador of CRY, Shah Rukh Khan. He then passed on the keys to the director of the NGO’s West and Volunteer Action.

This move by Hyundai exudes the kind of humbleness, simplicity, and elegance that the company gives to all its car models. Through this gesture, Hyundai has moved many steps ahead in terms of brand prominence.

Audi plans to assemble its model Q5 locally, a Crossover Utility Vehicle that made its debut globally earlier this year. If the volume of this luxury car is high enough, then there is the chance of assembling the CUV in Aurangabad facility near Pune.

The company would have to make the Q5 compliance to the Indian condition that is likely to hit the Indian shores by the second half of 2009. Recently, Audi’s sports car R8 made its debut in India with a price tag of Rs 1.3 crore. With this launch, Audi has great expectation and the luxury car manufacturer is confident of selling 20 cars by next year.

The Audi R8 had bagged 15 orders even before it was launched in India. This was an amazing response from the price sensitive Indian consumers. The company also has high hopes with its model Q5.

Will Audi Q5 be able gather the same attention as R8? Well it’s too early to say!

While we all were celebrating the lamps and chants of Diwali, the car manufacturers were also rejoicing festive season.

Festive season for car manufacturers is not pertaining to Diwali but the season of good sales. Yes, the wait proved to be fruitful for them. Couple of months ago when the car sales was drastically going down, they has tied high hopes from the Diwali season. And their hopes actually reaped success for them.

The day of Dhanteras, believed to be an auspicious day for buying metals, recorded the best sales figure. Amazingly, there are talks among the car dealers and manufacturers that about 15,000 vehicles or more have been sold across the country on that one single day. Though this Dhanteras was not able to beat the charm of last year, it was satisfactory, especially during this time of downturn.

Giving a strong reason to smile, Dhanteras proved to be a big bonanza for car manufacturers.

Motorsports in India, isn’t it paradoxical? Motorsports have never gone hand in hand with the Indian economy.

But today, motorsports have made its way through the growing economy. You would be amazed to know that motorsports entered the Indian market in 21st century, a recent entry. Then too, the industry has spread its tentacles across the territory.

The key reason behind the growth is the Indian car industry. The industry has become so advanced that every now and then some or the other car manufacturer put its hand on the sports segment with a desire to promote brand among a huge number of sports enthusiasts.

You talk about Volvo, who recently gifted a Volvo car to the winner of the Olympic Gold medal, Abhinav Bindra. Then what say about the Honda Accord gifted to Digvijay. Similarly, many car manufacturers have associated themselves with the sports and are introducing fast cars that are capable to run across all kinds of roads and terrains.

Have anyone heard about the vintage car rally, a rally that displays a perfect assortment of vintage cars. Then we have the Monsoon rally where car drivers participate in big numbers and finally the Himalayan car rally, a tough raid where car drivers have to run their cars on challenging mountain ranges across the Himalayan.

You must also be aware of the recent raid introduced by Maruti Suzuki, ‘Maruti Suzuki Raid de Himalaya’. It was an interesting raid but the most challenging one.

If you really have the heart to face challenges in life then motorsports in India is a fun.

Every car manufacturer is driving deep to the roots of Indian culture and lifestyle to suit the taste of Indian customer base.

Driven by local flavours and indigenization, Volkswagen also plans to roll out its small car adorned with the likes, aspirations, and requirements of Indian customers.

The company is also looking for high levels of localization in terms of production. Expected to roll out from the company’s Chakan plant in Maharashtra, the proposed small car will be a tough competitor of all the upcoming small cars like Tata Nano, Hyundai i20, and Renault’s small car.

Volkswagen is still expecting to reach newer heights with the launch of its high-end luxury sedan Phaeton in India. Something even more exciting is on your way.

The company also plans to introduce an Indian-version of its Polo hatchback on the small car platform and its concept car, ‘Up’ in near future.

Rolls Royce!
The name it self is so royal! And now this 100 year old premium car manufacturer has opened another showroom in Delhi. The surprising part is that this royal car brand chooses Select Cars as partner over Navnit Motors who are the Mumbai dealers.

This super luxurious pal starts at Rs. 3.15 crore (due to the 110% import duty) and despite its expensive figure the brand is doing well in India by selling 12 cars last year. Very soon Indian roads will get to see the Phantom Coupe. The super car brand is also working on baby Rolls, which is expected to hit the Indian shores by 2010.

It is nice to know that super luxury car brand like Rolls Royce have a good market in India. This is the positive growth in the Indian auto industry. Hope to see more super luxury cars rolling out in India.
