Mahindra-Renault, Paris-based car manufacturer, has selected India to be its car design hub for its proposed ultra-cheap car. The car is under development under the joint venture with Bajaj Auto. Till date, Renault has designed its entire range of cars in Paris but now with the growing opportunities in India, the company decided to target India and establish a design center in Mumbai. Though the main car design framework will be rolled out from the Mumbai centre, small inputs on designing will also be received from Nissan design team and other Renault’s design centres across the world. At present, it is believed that almost 10-12 Indian car designers are working on the Renault’s small car project. The key motive of the joint venture is not to produce a cheap car but to design a car with improved fuel economy and the one that meets the emission standards. After forming a design framework, the car will start its production in the Chakan facility in Maharashtra. Expected to roll out in 2011, the car is follows the vision of this joint venture. Fiat India Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. is planning to set up a car design center in India which will eventually strengthen the Indian car industry and make it more promising in the global market. Fiat is evaluating the possibility and issues associated with establishing a Research & Design Center (R&D) centre at its Ranjangaon plant in partnership with Tata Motors. Till date, the country drives to the West to design a car but now the emerging Indian market is preparing itself to learn the technical specifications. India is believed to be a hub of technical expertise, but because of lack of infrastructure, Indians were never successful in implementing print to reality. It is not just human beings who go to beauty saloons to maintain their beauty. Nowadays even cars follow the way to a parlour. The new trend of car beauty clinics is booming up in India and an array of treatment is provided to protect the paint, prevent fading, and reduce oxidization. These treatments primarily concentrate on the car exterior. One of the treatment that car clinics offers is the new polymer paint salant that creates slippery, slick barrier which guards the car paint giving the car a new look and shine. We have couple of car spas in Surat, Secundrabad and few more are coming up in future. These salons provide car beauty therapies like UV treatment that protects the car from dust, germs, moulds and scratches. Just like human skin, even car paints loose its shine and softness due to sunlight and like every one else even cars have to maintain itself to look more beautiful, elegant and appealing. Concept cars are the fruits of innovative imaginations. When you let your imaginations run wild, you can come up with outlandish results. Concept cars also follow the same rule of letting your imaginations run wild. This gives a good opportunity to car designers to show their exclusive, strange and innovative car designs. These cars are notorious and are rarely seen on roads. The hidden concept comprises of dreams, future vision and prototypes. These are mainly displayed at Auto Shows to get a viewpoint of the consumers. Display of such kind of cars helps the car designers and car manufacturers to get consumer’s perspective about the car design. If you explore the global car industry, you’ll find a number of concept cars that are holding dreamy visions about the automotive future. Whether you talk about the BMW shape-shifting car covered with fabric or about the Toyota i-Real concept, they are just amazing and worth appreciation. Unfortunately, there are no such concept cars in India. It’s difficult to answer why. Are we not creative? Don’t we have the skills to produce something that is extra-ordinary? Why not give a try? Even you can open the veil of imaginations and produce a concept car that is eccentric, unusual and appealing. Labels: BMW-Cars, Car-Design, Small-Cars
