Urban car markets seem to be stagnant for most car manufacturers. It is imperative that car manufacturers should look beyond these markets to fetch better sales. Maruti is now stressing on the rural market with its plans to double the number of its outlets.

Presently, the company has over 668 dealerships in the country of which only 231 are located in semi-urban or rural areas. It further plans to increase the number of dealership in a span of two years. That means the company wants to penetrate deeper into the rural areas, where Maruti's products are the first choice.

It reveals that Maruti is all set to capture the rural centres and it is also foreseen that majority of the sales will come from rural areas. Maruti Suzuki is pitched as an entry level car manufacturer and hence its products are the first stop for car buyers in India. Its profile is dotted with eight small cars and two sedans only. If urban car buyers are not being pampered with better choices, the company’s profit is likely to dwindle. So it is important for Maruti to expand its network across the country specifically in the rural areas to maintain decent sales. But it is yet to see if Maruti’s expectation is met in these hinterlands where incomes are low and need for mobility is also very low.

New Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire Cars In India

Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, the stretched version of the sporty Swift hatchback is so much in demand that the company is unable to supply enough car models to the dealers.

In the Indian car market, the Swift Dzire is available in both petrol and diesel version. Among the two variants, the diesel version rejoices a comparatively higher demand than the petrol counterpart. The waiting period of the petrol version is nearly six months and for the diesel version the waiting time is still longer. As the company feels the demand for the diesel variant is plunging, it has scaled down the production of the car. However, according to dealers nearly 80 percent of the people opt for the diesel variant. The company should increase the overall production of the car so that buyers do not have to wait much to drive home their dream car.

Ford India has introduced a new philosophy of car service with the establishment of its first ‘Quick Service Station’. This is an innovative process designed for car servicing at Harpreet Ford in Gurgaon.

This unique service facility gives you an opportunity to get a car serviced in just one hour. Now, you won’t have to wait for another day to get the delivery of a car after you give it for servicing. This helps save a lot of time for both the customers and the company.

This is made possible with an ingenious idea that is implied to set up the service centre. The service centre is planned in such a way that all the technician’s requirements such as parts, oil, air, and water are available in the bay so as to save time to collect these items from other counters.

You can even clearly visualize your car being serviced in a clean and conducive environment while you are waiting at the reception. This means that the bay will be clearly visible from the customer lounge enabling the customers to actually see the process of servicing.

The 'Quick Service' is quite similar to the Ford's current Quality Care service which is a scheduled servicing facility. Presently, the Quick Service facility is available across over 23 dealerships in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore, and New Delhi.
