Hyundai Eon to be launched in India on Oct 13th

Come Oct 13th and Hyundai Eon will be launched in India. The Eon from Hyundai will be placed below the Hyundai Santro, but above the Maruti Alto in pricing. The Hyundai Eon is expected to have better fuel economy, spacious interiors, and a decent pricing that can woo the first time car buyers to the hilt.

Since it is a known fact that over 65 percent of the car market in India today is predominantly a small car market and the entry level space is as high as over 40 percent, Hyundai is all set to cash on this segment. The demand for small car with low price is very high in India and thus Hyundai’s decision to launch Eon seems to be very apt. Hyundai is the second largest car maker in the automobile industry and with its Eon, it is expected to rip the competition apart. Maruti Suzuki Alto, currently the market leader in small car segment in India is the target in sight for Hyundai’s Eon. Expect the pricing of the car to be a killer as well. We expect the price of the Eon could hover around Rs 2.50 lakh to Rs 3.50 lakh.

The new Hyundai Eon will be powered by a three cylinder 800 cc engine that is expected to deliver a mileage of 21.1 km/liter. The length of the car would be 3.5 meter, width 75 mm, and height 40 mm. It gives extra features such as driver air bags, front power windows, keyless entry, fog lamps, two-tone interiors, and central locking which are not available in all other small cars of course on the top end variant but you might be in for a pleasant surprise.

The Hyundai engineers have worked overtime to give the Eon a stylish portfolio which is pretty much in the lines of its new Fluidic design philosophy. A look into it and you will see all that resemblance to Hyundai i10, i20, and the new Fluidic Verna. The interior as mentioned earlier in the blog is superiorly built which means a small family can be at ease in the Eon. Lower price with fuel efficiency is going to be the Eon’s USP. Hyundai Eon in India will be available in three trims base, GL, and GLS.

The base version of the Hyundai Eon may not feature power windows, air conditioner, power steering, and central locking. The top variant of Hyundai Eon will include all features like power windows, power steering, air conditioner, and central locking plus remote levers for boot and fuel lid. It is expected that the top variant will have music system, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), and driver side airbag and also expected to feature front fog lamps, rear spoiler, and designer wheel covers. The Hyundai Eon GLS will feature chrome finish front grill and tail-lamps which gives stylish look to the car.
