Leaked images, spy shots…they all tingle our senses and bring a kind of unexplainable excitement. And now be prepared to be treated to the leaked images of the 2011 Volkswagen Passat. Norwegian Newspaper Dagbladet has apparently has got its hands on some of the pictures of the upcoming New 2011 Volkswagen Passat. And to top it all, the newspaper claims that they sourced the image from VW through a distributor.
The image shows that the new Passat gets a pair of new headlamps. Yes, Volkswagen has finally taken off those bulging things in the front that they called headlamps. The redesigned fog lights and the new horizontal grill would instantly make you think of the Polo or the Vento or even the new upcoming Jetta. The photo suggests a remodeled bumper, and completely restyled sidesills and side panels. The new Passat will also feature LED daytime running lights, a common feature of all Audi cars, which again is a sister concern of Volkswagen.
There are new things in the interiors of the 2011 Passat. You can expect a new instrument cluster and an attractive new multifunction steering wheel. The next generation Passat is going to have a host of new technologies such as a wiperless window cleaning system, and an advanced user interface. Also expected is an electronic stability system with a feature that automatically offers counter-steering assistance in adverse driving conditions.
The new Volkswagen Passat will be showcased during the Paris Motor Show that begins on September 30. The new car will compete against rivals like the BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-class. The new Passat 2011 will be up for sales in November, and soon after the international launch, it will arrive in India too.
