The Honda Jazz X that we spoke about just a few hours ago has finally arrived. Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) Ltd., one of the leading manufacturers of premium cars in India, has just launched the Jazz X. The exterior styling has pettily changed, the interiors have been enhanced and loads of features have been added to enhance comfort.
The Jazz already possessed first-class styling, offered great interior comfort and versatile utility. It always put on show commendable performance. Now, Honda claims that the new variant has become even more chic and athletic. The interiors get the blue and black theme. Finally, the premium hatch gets a set of alloy wheels which it was very much in need of.
Taking entertainment a level higher, the Jazz X comes with an audio system with an iPod friendly USB port. For occupants’ convenience and luggage safety, the new car will also feature a rear parcel shelf. Honda has taken into account driver comfort this time, and to prove this, the driver seat is height adjustable. The fog lamps serve two purposes, enhanced visibility and better styling. Mud guards in the front and rear come as standard in the new Honda Jazz X.
The Honda Jazz was already available in five jazzy colours, Tafetta White, Alabaster Silver, Crystal Black Pearl, Sherbet Blue and Deep Sapphire Blue. It now comes with the option of an additional colour, Rallye Red. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tatsuya Natsume, Director Marketing, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. said, “We are delighted to expand the choice of variants for our customers of Jazz with the new Jazz X Grade. The new variant is a result of extensive customer feedback and will offer sporty looks, enhanced interior and exterior styling, and exhilarating driving experience.”
The Jazz had entered the Indian market in June last year and NDTV Profit – Car India and Bike India Awards 2010 has already conferred the Honda Jazz with the ‘Car of the Year’ and ‘Small Car of the Year’ awards. Like the earlier variants, the Jazz X too has been strapped with a 1.2 L i-VTEC engine which is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Jazz X has all the Honda attributes; global design, great drivability, fuel economy and safety.
What more would anyone want from the new car? As mentioned in our earlier blog post, the Jazz just needs one major facelift and that’s in its price. An aggressive pricing can instantly work the magic. The new Honda Jazz X has been priced at 7.53 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The earlier versions were in the range of Rs. 7,11,000 – Rs. 7,46,455. So, any buyers for the Jazz X? Well, let’s wait and see if anyone gets lured.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
