10,000th Lambo Gallardo Rolled Out

10000th-Lamborghini-Gallardo The Italian automobile company Lamborghini was founded in 1963 by manufacturing mogul Ferruccio Lamborghini, who set out to create a refined grand touring car. The company’s first offerings, the 350GT and 400GT, were noted for their refinement, power, and comfort and the car maker moved on producing high-performance cars. Today, thanks to Lambo, it gives us great pleasure to reveal yet another good news. Lamborghini just announced the 10,000th Lamborghini Gallardo produced.

The Lamborghini Gallardo’s life started way back in 2003, and now, a 10,000th model, a LP 560-4 Coupe just rolled out. It has always been Lamborghini’s most-produced model to date and over 5000 had been built in its first three years of production itself. The car is named after a famous breed of fighting bull. The Spanish word Gallardo translates into “gallant” and from Italian into “striking”.

Now, it’s time for celebration as this number 10,000 marks an important step in the model’s life. The Gallardo becomes the most successful Lamborghini model in the company’s illustrious history. “Production of car number 10,000 is a very important milestone for Lamborghini,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

In 2007, the Italian company presented a revised version called the Gallardo LP 560-4, a more powerful, 552-horsepower 5.2-liter V-10 engine, and even more modern styling. A year later, the Spyder came along, followed by the limited edition two-wheel drive LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni, in 2009. The LP 560-4 Coupe which is now of great significance to Lambo is powered by a V10 engine through its four-wheel drive. The 560 portion of the car’s name reflects its horsepower, while the ‘4’ designation indicates all-wheel-drive. The model was launched in 2003, continuing with Spyder and Superleggera models as well as special editions such as the Gallardo SE and Nera. Long live this car which has made Lamborghini proud!

At this year’s Geneva Auto Show Lamborghini presented the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera. This happens to be a lightweight version of the Gallardo LP 560-4. The new car can put on show a top speed of 325 kmph and can leap from nothing to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds. “The strength and presence of the Gallardo product has played a significant role in the growth and recognition of our brand,” Stephan Winkelmann, a Lamborghini top executive, said. Rightly said; these cars indeed have great strength.

The special 10,000th Lamborghini Gallardo is headed for China where it will be celebrated during the ‘Lamborghini Day‘ in Shanghai on 25th June. Lambo will be showcasing eight cars from its super sports car range at the function, and after that, the 10,000th Gallardo will head to its new owner’s place.
