Japanese car major Toyota Motor Corporation has developed new engine oil. The World’s largest car manufacturer has claimed that this new diesel engine oil is fuel efficient and helps in reducing carbon dioxide emission.
The Indian arm of Toyota, Toyota Kirloskar Motors Limited said that the new engine oil is equipped with special detergent additives, which not only clean the engine parts, but also leaves no ash in case of burning; thereby leaving negligible deposits that improves fuel efficiency.
The Japanese car honcho also revealed that the company also introduced iridium tough spark plug which ensures higher ignitability than the normal plugs.
As a part of promotion for the fuel-efficient diesel engine oil and iridium-tough spark plug, the company also announced an “Eco Campaign” which commences today and will last till January 10.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor said that the introduction of these products will further cut down fuel consumption and emission. This will again help the company to strengthen its initiatives towards building a cleaner and greener environment.
At present, Toyota manufactures and markets the premium sedan Corolla Altis and the Innova and Fortuner in India. Besides the car company imports the Camry, Prado and Land Cruiser to India. It will bring in a small car next year and will introduce the Prius Hybrid and the Avanza MUV in the upcoming 2010 Delhi Auto Expo.
