Camaro Bumblebee to go under Hammer

This time the Camaro Bumblebee is not chasing Sam Witwicky, while he was riding his mother’s pink bicycle; the car is going under the hammer. Yes, we mean the one used in the Transformers.

The Bumblebee of Transformers fame is not the 2010 Chevy Camaro, but a rather dilapidated looking 1977 Camaro. It has to be noted here that the original Bumblebee was a Volkswagen Beetle. Whatsoever it is, the Bumblebee Camaro is now up for sale.

The car, naturally, is far from peak condition, but it does have all the necessary equipment to make it functional.

Moreover, it also comes with a certificate of authenticity from Bay Films, which means that this specific car was, in fact, the one that was used in the first movie and the very same one Mikaela (Megan Fox) called a ‘piece of crap Camaro’ forcing Bumblebee to upgrade his model.

We don’t have a price on the car yet, but we heard that it’s being sold for around $12,000 – to $15,000. Considering the world-wide fame – or notoriety – this car was able to garner from being in the movie, we think that it’s a bargain worth looking into.

The 1977 Camaro has been painted yellow with black stripes to be used in the movie. This famous car used in movie is further upgraded with primer and rust patches, riveted hood scoop, Cragar SS wheels up front, Eric Vaughn Real Wheels in the back, marine-grade vinyl seats and even an eight-track player.

The Chevrolet Camaro is classified as a pony car. The Camaro is, in fact, a popular muscle car.
