Portuguese Invents Prize-Winning Fuel Saving Device

A Portuguese with Indian origins has invented a car device that will aid the driver in saving fuel, thanks to an illuminated sign on the speedometer that indicates, with precision, when a car reaches its optimum fuel usage.

Rajesh Pai won a Silver medal at Geneva’s International Ball, in the Transportation sector, having come up with a simple solution to a very complex problem. “It is a mechanism that is a friend of the wallet and also of the environment” said the naturalized Portuguese citizen, explaining that drivers using his ‘Green Pai Driving’ (GPD) device will be able to gain a further six percent mileage from their fuel.

Simply put, the GDP is a system that shows a slice of a circle on the speedometer, indicating the correct speed at which a person should be driving to reduce fuel consumption to a minimum, whilst also reducing CO² emissions. 1. It is great to hear that Indians too are doing their bit to improve mileage. Fuel efficiency is the new mantra that all citizens of the earth need to chant. I think that most car drivers world over will like the GDP on their cars. I think the title should have been 'Indian invents'.
