Maruti Suzuki Cars to Get Modifications

Maruti wants to upgrade all its car models including the Maruti 800 and the Omni. This decision is mainly taken by the company to meet the Bharat Stage IV emission norms that will be effective from 2010. Earlier Maruti had announced to phase out the models that do not obey the forthcoming emission norms, but later it decided to modify them as par the emission norms.

The company is now working on the existing engines and trying to make them compliant with the Bharat stage norms. The new generation K-series engines are more efficient than the older ones and a little upgradation will further ensure improved fuel efficiency and reduced carbon dioxide emission.

In addition to the modified K-series engines, other existing engines after upgradation will enhance the power as well as the performance of Maruti cars. This will be a double treat for car buyers who can drive home their favourite cars with better mileage while safeguarding the nature from harmful gases.

  1. Maruti Suzuki has always been ahead of the race by its smart innovations that are cheap yet very effective. I am glad that the old Maruti car M800 and Omni are going to be around with some modifications. Otherwise the M800 would have been dearly missed in Indian cities.

  2. Maruti is planning to modify the but this means that all the cars will have the K series engine or they will be just modified to meet the emission norms?
