Due to recurring labour unrest, the production at the Hyundai Motors’ Sriperumbudur factory has been hit badly. The plant manufactures around 1000 units daily that has been crippled due to the stir. Seeing the impact of the labour strike, the company is thinking to shift the production unit of i20 to a European country. It is also facing troubles like infrastructure problems, currency fluctuations, and low export incentives. All these hurdles are affecting the timely delivery of the i20 which may further upset the car sales.
It has been speculated that if the problem persists then the company will definitely look for an alternative that is for now is expected to be in Europe. Sadly, this step will take away i20’s India exclusivity tag.
With the strike reaching new heights as more than 800 workers getting arrested, the deadlock seems unbreakable. A cloud of uncertainty hangs over the launch of Hyundai i20 diesel which is set to hit the roads by the end of this year. Hopefully, everything gets settle down and i20 retains its tag of being the Indian made car.

It will be a sad comment on Indian government to provide timely assistance to such big companies. They are here not only to provide employment but also to transfer technology and knowledge. India cannot afford to loose that. Hyundai should give India some more time to tackle the situation.
Hyundai is taking things to far when it comes to India. If they had the idea to give India an exclusive tag, they should have thought about strikes and all other liabilities attached with it before hand. According to their own admission production is marginally affected, hence there should be no reason for the Korean company to shift production to Europe.
I truly like keeping up with your updates. It adds that special something to the day.
This blog is so interesting. I loved reading it! I think this place will become my latest bookmarked site!
If you’ve been following the blog along with social media scene during the last several years, you already know that there’s one particular very hot discussion which continues showing up: and that is the actual debate concerning remarks on weblogs. Should blogs include responses? Ought these kinds of comments be moderated? When has a review gone too far? Judging from a couple of current activities, it’s the moment yet again to rethink these kind of problems. It is fascinating to notice that many blog sites have just lately shut down responses, which quite a few people claim is a non permanent measure, but has been done due to thinking that the tone in certain remarks has actually become out of hand. Even so, I must say that this site really has a selection of really good quality stuff and also it really is good to impart that sort of information with like minded, and the level of quality, people here.
