
Wake up car lovers, its time for you to open your eyes and witness the launch of the Tata Nano. The most awaited world’s cheapest car has finally launched in India after a long series of controversies, hurdles, and speculations.
Tata Nano has caught the imagination of all those present during the launch with its simple yet beautiful design and excellent engineering. Celebrated in a purely Indian style, the launch was witnessed by the moons and stars of Mumbai.
Everyone in the ceremony was inspired and dazzled by the intelligently designed Tata Nano retaining its announced price tag of Rs 1 Lakh. The exterior of the car is beautified with attractive features like the stylish bumper, clear-lens headlamps, and clear-lens tail-lamp cluster.
The centrally positioned instrumentation and impressive center console are the highlights of the car’s interior. The ultra-cheap car has made no compromise in safety as well. It is equipped with the best of safety features like the intrusion-resistant doors, crumple zones, and the rear tailgate glass bonded to the body.

The Nano delivers an impressive fuel efficiency of 23.6 km/l and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 12 seconds. It emits low level of harmful emissions as compared to other fuel-efficient cars and even the two-wheelers manufactured in India.
The Nano is available in three variants – the Nano Standard compliant to BS II and BS III emission norms, Nano CX compliant to BS II and BS III, and the Nano LX compliant to BS III emission norms. The standard version is available with single-tone seats and fold-down rear seats, the CX variant is available in air-conditioner, two-tone seats, parcel shelf, booster-assisted brakes, and fold down rear seat, and the LX variant of the Nano is available with all the features of the CX variant along with fabric seats, central locking, front power windows, body coloured exteriors, fog lamps, electronic trip meter, mobile charger point, and rear spoiler.
Here’s the most-awaited car Nano but you still have to wait till July 2009 to drive the car. It will be displayed at all Tata dealerships and outlets from April 1st and will be delivered in July 2009.
