Tata’s little heart is now ready to rule the car market. There is no car in India and even in the world which is cheaper than the Tata Nano, therefore it offers the cheapest mode of four-wheel personal mobility. But how far the car surpasses its competitors like the Maruti 800, Chevrolet Spark, and the Maruti Suzuki Alto in other aspects.
On the mileage front, Nano scores maximum with its fuel efficiency of 23.6 km/l compared to the 800, Spark, and the Alto which delivers a fuel efficiency of 14.2 km/l, 13.1km/l, and 14.5 km/l, respectively. Moreover, the Nano is also compliant to both Bharat Stage II and Bharat Stage III emission norms unlike others that are only BS III compliance. If required, Nano can also be upgraded to meet the BS IV emission norms.
But when it comes to power, Nano has the smallest 624cc engine because of which the car is not able to exceed the speed of 105 km/h whereas its competitors can easily go beyond 100 km/h with better stability and handling. Nano has minimum turning radius that makes the car maneuver more efficiently on congested city roads. It has 4 metres turning radius compared to 4.4 metres in Maruti 800, 4.6 metres in Alto and 4.6 metres in Spark.
So, the Nano wins the small car race because of the high mileage, low price tag, and the minimum turning radius of 4 meters.

Low price tag of the Nano is something that no other car manufacturer can even think of breaking. Producing a car with such a low price tag was itself a challenge for Tata Motors and now when the car manufacturer has proved its excellent engineering then other car manufacturers are trying to beat the Nano and win the race.
Nano has to win. The excellence of Tata’s team is worth appreciation. And I m really shocked that even during this time of downturn Tata has retained the promised price tag of the car. Even I believe that it is one of the best small cars that people couldn’t even think about if Tata’s dream was turned into a reality.
Nano may win the small car race in terms of pricing and mileage but what about the traffic on Indian roads. Don’t you think that the increasing number of Nano on Indian roads will increase the already pathetic traffic we face everyday. If so many people will start buying cars then the total number of cars on road will rapidly increase. Not only this, the combined emissions from lakhs of Nano may also add to the environmental pollution.
Nano has become the centre of attraction. Where ever you go, you hear only about Nano. But are all these talk worth its praise is still under cover. Tata's have already delayed Nano and now with the delivery in July and that too with
limited production, they have crossed the the limits.
nano is no doubt a marvellous car
but till now more than 5 nano's have caught fire ?
what is ur answer to this ?
no one can buy such a car whichever cheap price it may offer ,if there is a risk to life .....
