Brace yourselves! The Audi Q5 is planning to launch in the Indian car market by June 2009. The luxury car manufacturer has taken this strong decision of the new car launch despite the downturn in the market.
Though the Audi India stable is already enjoying the success of the Q7, the car manufacturer decided to offer a compact SUV to India for those so inclined. Audi Q5 was launched in Europe in 2008 with four versions but India will initially see only two variants. Similar to the Audi Q7, the Q5 will also offer both petrol (2L TFSI) and diesel (3L TDI) engines.
This luxury off-roader will be brought to India as a completely built unit. There is possibility of the Q5 being locally assembled in Audi’s Aurangabad plant, but the company first wants to ensure a good volume of sales or demand before taking up the task of local production.
Before the launch of the Audi Q5, Audi enthusiasts will get to see the all new upgraded version of the luxury sedan Audi A6.

I love the Audi brand. The four ring car has created a sensation in the Indian market.Among the Audi models, A6 is my favourite. It is nice to know that the luxury car maker is expanding its product line in India. Though i cannot afford to own an Audi car, but i love see the car on roads.
Audi Q7 is a great SUV and i can only dream of it.My pocket is not that heavy that i can afford to buy this stunning SUV.It is nice to know that Audi is coming out with another SUV which is a compact one.Hope the price tag is not that heavy.
Audi is gradually making a strong position in India. The company has many plans for India and is also improving its investment, marketing, and promotional strategies to attract a higher segment of the society. I think Audi has expected the fact that Indian market has now become mature and is greatly appreciating high-end luxury cars. This belief is actually pushing Audi to strengthen its presence in the country.
Great News. Though i am nver gonna buy one, but i is nice to see that Audi beliefs in the indian car market and are inspired to launch more models.
