The most popular Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm Car Rally is here to create the excitement once again. The rally with a combination of adventure, thrill, and excitement is considered as one of the toughest motor-sports events in India.

Started on 17th February in Delhi, the event will cover nearly 2,600 km excitingly passing through uncharted territory like the formidable Thar Desert, the rocky and uncertain Aravalli, and the slippery and white sands of the Rann of Kutch.

The first competitive section of the 7th Maruti Desert Storm Rally will begin with 170 strong rallyists at the Manesar on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. The rally will then take a break at Bikaner before moving ahead to the sand dunes of Jaisalmer and then it will proceed towards the Thar Desert. After a long thrilling journey, the next halt will be seen at Adesar, which acts as a bridge between the Small Rann and the Great Rann of Kutch in Gujarat. Here it is not just the participants but even the cars will experience refreshment. The rallyists will spend two nights at Adesar in tent camps, which is near the Indo-Pakistan border. The next and final journey will be in Udaipur where a grand prize and celebratory party will be organised for the participants.

Maruti has long been associated with motor sports. Couple of weeks back I had also read the article on your website on Maruti's Rendezvous with Motorsports. I think Maruti has spread its wings in all arenas including sports, adventurous rides, road safety, and driving education. I have also heard that the company has recently announced a competition between youngsters to search the best young driver in the country.
