Porsche’s RS Spyder is ready to head into the next phase of Le Mans 24 Hours race. Le Mans 24 Hours race is a racing event that held annually in France. It is also known as the Grand Prix of Endurance and is structured by the ACO (Automobile Club de l'Ouest). The race is conducted on a track enclosed public roads.
The NAVI Team Goh from Japan and the Essex squad from Denmark are the two teams that will use the car for the race. Both the teams want to repeat the victory of LMP2 class last year with the car.
Maassen who piloted a RS Sypder last year will contest the event for the NAVI Team Goh comprising team members Seiji Ara and Keisuke Kunimoto. The team’s Porsche RS Spyder is the winning car from last year for the Van Merksteijn Motorsport. This year the car has undergone few changes due to new implemented regulations like a substantial downsizing of the air-restrictors, the 3.4-litre V8 engine now delivers 440 hp instead of 476. The rear wing and the underbody have been modified to conform to the new regulations. Both the teams will get the support of Porsche works drivers Sascha Maassen (Germany) and Emmanuel Collard (France) for campaign.
