BMW and Mercedes-Benz are competing with each other to conquer the Indian car market.
Though both the car manufacturers hold the same position and brand image in the country, Mercedes-Benz has outshined BMW in terms of car sales. Surprisingly, the sales figure of Mercedes-Benz saw a positive growth even in the time of financial meltdown in 2008.
All Mercedes cars including the E-Class, C-Class, SLK-Class, and the recently launched high-performance AMG cars have winning characteristics that has taken the brand name to the top position.
Comparatively, even the new BMW cars like the 3-Series and 7-Series have set new benchmarks in the industry. Then why the sales figure of Mercedes is high? Is it the brand name or the competitive bar posed by performance, luxury, fuel efficiency, and ride quality making the rivalry more strong?
BMW also has no clue for the reason of low sales report. But still the company aims to climb higher and take over its biggest rival Mercedes-Benz. BMW is gradually expanding its roots on the Indian soil to plant the seed of success in the country. After the launch of new 3-Series and 7-Series, BMW has even planned a slew of launches in near future which include the models Z4 and X6. It is also.
It seems that the competition between the two car giants is aggressively building and it is yet to see who will dominate the promising Indian car industry in future.
