The cute and scintillating Fiat 500 has been around in India for a while now and is quite popular for its unique Italian design and styling cues.
A more masculine version of the peppy 500 might be out soon as Fiat is considering building an SUV over the same platform. The reason for Fiat’s move is that the 500’s biggest competitor Mini Cooper is also undergoing a similar transformation.
The original iconic concept would probably be lost in the process and the more aggressively styled SUV may even fail to win the hearts of car buyers. From what is known, the engine on the new SUV will not be brand new and will be an upgraded version of any of the existing engines on Fiat cars.

hey thats not good. Why Fiat is after spoiling the looks of the tiny little Fiat 500. Though the 500 is really an expensive car, it has won hearts of many people because of its beautiful styling and features. Even I have not seen the car but have read really good reviews for the same.
Saket your are right. Even I wont ever like the Fiat 500 in the form of an SUV. There are many good SUVs in the Indian car market, so I dont think anyone would want to have a Fiat 500 SUV.
Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino has a long and strong relation with our country. I still own the Fiat Padmini. Its good news that the 500 is coming out with a new and attractive design. Hope there wont be any compromise in safety and comfort. What is the on road price for this peppy which claims to give a "funtastic" experience?
Fiat is one of the oldest brands and is known for its technology and performance.But i feel with Fiat 500, the the pricing just crossed its limits.No one would like to go for a small car that costs Rs 14 lakh.
Hey dont say like that. Me as a car buyer will love to buy a car like Fiat 500 if it comes in SUV form. I love SUVs and if these have the technologies and features like the tiny 500
