Hyundai Bags Award for Export Excellence

Hyundai is once again ruling the chart, but this time not for its incredible car models but for outstanding performance in export in the Engineering and Metallurgical products.

The company has just been honoured with the ‘Niryat Shree’ award for the year 2005-06 announced by the Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO).

Hyundai has lived 10 glorious years in the Indian car market and is considered to be one of the biggest Indian car exporters. The company started exporting cars from India in 1999, only 20 cars were been exported and that also only to Nepal. With the passage of time, Hyundai emerged as a strong player in the Indian export market. And in October 2004, the company marked a significant milestone with an export of 100,000 cars. Every year the company’s export graph started accelerating with an incredible pace. Amazingly, the company presently holds more than 50% of the country’s car export.

In March 2008, the company has set a new benchmark in Indian export market by crossing an export target of over half million across 95 countries. Hyundai with its endeavours and strategies is trying to bridge the Indian trade gap. This honour received by the company along with the stupendous success that the company has shown in the past years clearly reflects its contribution in the growing Indian economy.
