Toyota was very excited about the launch of its highly successful hybrid car, Toyota Prius Hybrid.
Prius Hybrid is a leading hybrid car across the globe and is adorned with superior technology, lower emission levels and excellent fuel efficiency. This hybrid car if launched would be a tough competitor of Honda’s only hybrid car in India, the outstanding Honda Civic Hybrid.
But, at present, the company has revised its plan to introduce Prius Hybrid in India. The company may have been decided to push back the launch date seeing the recent discount on Honda Civic Hybrid. A hybrid available at Rs 13.6 Lakh can easily beat a hybrid priced at Rs 22 Lakh.
Well, Toyota has made a right move by postponing the launch date. The company is also not satisfied with the infrastructure and duty structure. Now, the wait goes longer for another hybrid car in India.

I don’t know whether it is right to hold back the launch of Prius hybrid but I m sure that the steep discount in the price of Honda Civic hybrid must have shaken the hybrid sector.
It is really sad to know that we have to wait for Toyota's Prius hybrid. Honda Civic hybrid is already doing great on the indian roads and recently with the heavy discount on the price, Civic hybrid has given a tough challenge to Prius hybrid.May be this i one of the reason for Toyota to hold the launch.
