Even as the car market is struggling hard to meet the targeted sales, i20 is all set to roll out its green vehicle, A-Star, with excitement.

This new compact car is powered with the new series of KB engine that delivers 67 bhp. It is also designed to meet the future emission norms along with compliance to the ‘end of life vehicle’ (ELV) specifications that will enable the cars to get recycled up to 95%.

More exciting is the impressive mileage of the car that was tested and certified by Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). The association is known to certify fuel efficiency of all car models in India. The same has certified the A-Star to deliver a commendable mileage of 19.59 km/l of petrol.

A mileage of nearly 20 km/l is really praiseworthy in congested city roads and also plays a great role in luring car consumers before the car launches.

Its Maruti Suzuki, the expectation will be higher. The car brand which brought about a revolution in the Indian Car Industry is to bang the industry with their new "A-Star". All the best wishes... Hope it will surely drive off the blues created by the recession.

Oh my God, 19.5 kmpl is the mileage. That sounds astonishing but I know it’s true because it’s certified. Swear, this high efficiency on city roads is amazing and praiseworthy. I would say the best car to buy in the present situation.

Even I am waiting for the car to be launched. I have heard that the car is launching tomorrow, on November 19, 2008. Is this true?

Even I have heard the same Gitika. I think it should launch as per the given date of launch. But then I am thinking whether Maruti Suzuki will really launch the car during thsi time when recession has badly hit the market as well as the economy.
