Yes, the car manufacturer is now all set to complete the sale of 10 Lakh car units of the Alto. Its even more interesting to know that the sale of first 5 Lakh unit took over six years to complete whereas another set of 5 Lakh sales happened in a span of about two and a half year’s time.
We can’t ignore the success of Maruti Suzuki 800 which is already running successfully and the next hit in the domestic market from the same house is Alto in the small car segment.
The sale distribution clearly dictates that the over a period of two to three years, the demand of small cars is on cards. And so, more and more numbers of small cars are due for Indian car market.

Alto is a really a good small car. I remember the old days when Alto was not able to sell itself in the Indian car market. During that time, the Maruti Suzuki 800 was shining on Indian roads and people were not ready to accept the new small car by the company. Gradually, after nearly about three to four years of its entry in the market, people started liking its size, engine, features, and even the performance. It is also said that Alto is spacious than 800.
But till what I know, Alto was a successful car since the day it was launched in India. This small car was actually liked by all.
Alto is a great small car for a family of four.It is not bad in terms of fuel economy either.I own a Alto and till date i have not faced any kind of problem with the car, other than its regular service.
