Tata Motors has enjoyed an accelerated journey starting from its oldest car model Tata Indica to the recent launch Tata Indica Vista. Now, after rejoicing the ups and downs in the Indian car market, Tata plans to go electric.
Driven by high desires to introduce an electric car in the Indian market, Tata Motors European Technical Centre Plc, company’s UK subsidiary, caught hold of Norwegian electric vehicle firm, Miljoe Grenland/Innovasjon.
The main aim behind this association is to produce electric vehicles. Norwegian based company will now produce electric vehicles purely based on the concept of Tata cars. Excitingly, the first target is the Tata Indica.
Tata Indica EV will roll out with innovative features and a predicted acceleration of 0-60 kmph in under 10 seconds. You would also be interested to know that the car is capable to run a stretch of 200 km in one complete charge.

I have heard that Tata Indica Vista is a really good car designed and constructed by keeping in mind the Indian conditions. But then, an electric version, do you think that this is the right time to introduce the electric one?
This is good initiative from Tata motors in India after they got set back in erecting Nano plant in Bengal. It is the need of the day an electric car when fuel prices are shooting off the sky and for pollution free environment.
