There is a bad news for those who were eagerly waiting for the launch of the small wonder, the Nano. The 1 lakh car, Tata Nano, was scheduled to hit the Indian roads by October-December 2008. But with this delay, the Nano buyers will have to wait for few more months as the car is now announced to launch in the first quarter of 2009.
The launch is delayed due to the shift of manufacturing plant from Singur to Sanand in Gujarat. The launch is postponed to provide a continuous supply of the car to its vendors. Initially, the Tata Motors has plans to introduce the car in small number. It is speculated that the company is likely to roll out 8-10-lakh Nanos within the next 3-5 years.
The Tata Motors is exploring all possible ways to increase its Nano production and introduce its model soon to the Indian market. What do you think will the car be able to see the day light in the declared period?

Tough time for Nano. Its too sad... after the big tug of war, finally they've shifted to Gujarat the paradise of industrialists. It’s a good decision. But for those, who thought of giving Nano, as a Diwali gift, need to wait for some other occasion.
After such a long delay, I actually wonder whether the car will be launched or not.
My dear friend Lalita, I think you were eagerly waiting for the launch of this car and the delay in the car launch has made you frustrated. As it is people say that the best things in life always come late and so is the Nano. It seems to be one of the best cars in the Indian market, a car that has forced a two-wheeler driver to dream about owing a car of his own.
