Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), a leading SUV manufacturer, lays its eyes on fuel-efficient petrol technology to drive its new range of cars in the global market.
The company plans to strap this new generation petrol engines on its new global SUV christened as next-generation Scorpio and on other upcoming cars globally.
M&M feels that a complete transformation to diesel engine has no hidden wonders. There are markets like Middle-East and the US, which are driven by petrol powertrains and also offer immense advantages on such engines. With this, the company aims to create a perfect balance between performance and fuel-efficiency with its new petrol technology.
Mahindra Scorpio Automatic is a live example of the perfect balance created by the company. The only difference is that in this new SUV, the company has created a balance in a diesel engine. But now it plans to move ahead with petrol SUV segment.
With its eye on petrol technology, will M&M replace the mHawk diesel engine with its new powertrain? Or will it roll out a petrol counterpart?

It’s good to know that after a number of launches in diesel, Mahindra & Mahindra plans to use petrol technology in its new range of cars. With the desire moving towards petrol, I think that the company will definitely roll out the petrol version of its newly launched Mahindra Scorpio Automatic.
