Seeing the impact of land issues and violence at the Tata Nano plant near Singur, speculations floated all around that the Nano launch will be delayed. And, unfortunately, the speculations were true.
Yes, the launch of Nano has been delayed. But, it is more interesting to know that it will now launch on 28 December 2008, as a birthday gift to Ratan Tata on his 71st birthday. As life takes a move on Mr. Ratan Tata, he feels glad to introduce its most happening and long-awaited car.
You’ll be more excited to know that by launching the world’s cheapest car with the birthday celebrations, the company is repeating history. This is because a decade ago in 1998, when Rata Tata grew 61, the company had launched its successfully running car, Tata Indica.
The company fondly refers the launch as a coincidence and plans to roll out nearly about 1000 units from the company's facilities in Pune and Pantnagar.

I heard that it was launching in the month of October..again it got delayed for two months. was very eagerly waiting for this car. Anyways need to wait for two more months. Hope it is launched in the month of December.
Already it is launching late again further delay. Hope atleast it is released in the month of December. And read somewhere that many other car manufacturers are also rolling out small cars. So just need to wait and watch which car will be liked by the Indians.
Yes, that seems to be good news. I really wish that there is no further delay in the Nano launch.
