We don’t know whether it is exciting or astonishing but there has been news that Government was planning to ban small cars. This plan was aimed at easing traffic problems in big cities and expanding public transport system.
Though Government is focusing more on enhancing public transport, tell me frankly how many of you actually use public transport for daily commuting. Yes, today many of you do use but what when there’ll be more small and cheap cars on Indian roads?
After the launch of affordable and small cars like Tata Nano, it will be difficult to judge the actual numbers using the local transport system. So, banning on small cars is simply of no use. Whether more number of cars or more number of buses, the traffic is going to increase anyhow.
Infact, it’s better to have more number of small cars rather than having buses and auto rickshaws on roads.

Things are becoming so complicated in the Indian car industry that it’s really difficult to judge the actual growth and status of the industry. At one end, car manufacturers are rolling out more number of small cars and at the other end, government was planning to ban small cars. It’s so contradictory.
Whatever it was .. i think it will be considered amongst the worst and foolish decision evr made by the government. Every mornign one can see in metros the bottle necks and hecks of traffic jams. and i do feel that small and compact cars will ease the bottle necks than the bigger automotives.
Small and compact cars, have always been my perfect roadmate. Though the car of my dreams are always sedans and suv's, i always use small cars. It is affordable, trendy and fuel efficient. The recent trand also shows people going for more compact cars rather than the long booted sedans or suv's.
I don’t think there is nothing to worry about. Government can never ban small cars and the entire portfolio is small cars is soon to revolutionize the car market. High numbers of small cars are in pipeline to be rolled out on Indian roads. How many cars will the government ban?
