Tata Motors has faced many hurdles since the company has started the small car project. Now, as the protests are increasing, the company appears to have a temporary shift for the Nano project.
Until the issue is resolved, Tata have started some of the Nano production work in its already established plant in Uttarakhand, a state that has supported Tata in many of its operations. The state also offers lucrative tax breaks and has many of Tata’s key vendors.
The decision of shifting some of the production to the Pantnagar plant was made keeping in mind the launch date of Nano. The company plans to produce almost 3,000 units a month in Uttarakhand.
Despite of the turmoil at the Singur project, Ratan Tata is happy with the support and invitations it is receiving from people across the country. Even the business tycoon, Mr. Ambani has strongly backed the Nano project. Nano is Tata’s dream venture. Nothing can stop Tata to turn his dream to a reality.
Nano lovers! Just wait for a month and you’ll definitely find your car rolling out.

Its really sad to know that Tata's dream car project in Singur has been closed for ever. If Uttrakhand is a temporary shift then what is the permanent shift for Nano?
Uttarkhand comes in for salvage again, a state which has helped the Tata's in the time of calamitous necessitate, has one again given its support to Tata, who are facing a big stumbling block in the Singur plant. It happens only in India, one will heave down and the other will help ascend up.
Dear Nans, till date there is no news that the singur plant is closed forever. Tata Motors has only stopped their operations there for some time in order to protect employees in Singur from violence. So, until the issue is not completely resolved, nothing can be said on the permanent settlement for Nano.
If in case Nano production in Singur is stopped, then a huge mass of Singur employees will lose their bread and butter.
Hi friends, I don’t think that the Singur project will stop completely. After all it’s not only a loss for the state but the overall Indian economy. With so many states inviting Tata to set up the Nano plant in their states, Indian economy will gradually boost up but then what about the progress of West Bengal? The State itself is inviting disaster!
Political issues never to obstruct the rolling of Nano. If it's not Singur, it's their plant in Uttarkhand. Tata has been receiving a huge support from across the country. What ever happens these petty political issues are never going to harm the Tata's and Nano..
I personally do not think tats's will announce they are pulling out of Singur without zeroing on an alternate location.
They are heading to Gujarat in my opinion.
