For a fourth consecutive year, Maruti Suzuki is scoring first rank in ‘India Escaped Shopper Study’ conducted by J.D Power Asia Pacific.
The study analyzes why new vehicle buyers prefer specific car models and reject specific models. It also compares shopping behaviour of two groups of customers-buyers of recently launched car models and buyers of car models available in the market for more than two years.
The results of the study revealed a significant decline of cross-shopping rates since 2005. 27% of new car buyers in India in 2008 considered more than one car model before purchasing compared with 38% in 2007. This clearly states that the sales of specific car models are purely based on words of different people.
Maruti Suzuki tops the result with nearly about 38% of the Indian car buyers purchasing its car models. Skoda Auto and Mahindra and Mahindra follow the scores with more number of buyers restricted to their cars.
Unfortunately, buyers of Mahindra-Renault and Hyundai cars shop around the most to make a perfect car purchase.
Maruti Suzuki wears a tiara once again!
