Nattering away with mobile phone behind the wheels has become a fashion these days.
Certain things are really out of thought and understanding. Why do people have long chat on mobile while driving?
Many people have a misconception that they are above all and follow their rules and regulation. Trust, it’s only a misconception. Infact it’s not even a fallacy but attitude.
The driving laws, road regulations and traffic rules are the same for all sections of people. Whether a person is driving a luxurious BMW or a simple Maruti 800, laws, rules and regulations applies to all. But this thing doesn’t fit in the mind of affluent people driving top-end cars.
Most of the times people driving Porsche, BMW or Mercedes-Benz are found nattering away with a mobile handset held to their ears. These are those people who are not bothered about the rules, safety measures and any other regulations. They are only concern about the high-end luxury car they are driving and the attitude they behold.
This attitude and the feeling of being at the top lead to various car accidents and even fatalities. This is because the use of mobile phone while driving reduces driver’s concentration, perception and alertness.
Recent advancements in technology have made it possible for the driver to make safer calls behind the wheels. But still that’s only for urgency. Alertness and concentration is utmost important while driving, hence, Mobile and Driving can never go together?

Its right to say that driving with a mobile held to your ear reduces the driver's concentration and perception but I think it’s nothing to do with attitude. I don’t understand how attitude comes in when we are talking about mobile and driving? Talking on mobile phones while driving has become a fashion these days, almost everyone does it.
Hey, this is clear cut blame against people driving Porsche, BMW or Mercedes-Benz. Richness, wealth, money and owing a luxury car are not at all an issue when it comes to using mobile while driving. One of my friends owns a Mercedes Benz C Class and trust me I have never found him driving with a mobile phone stuck to his ear. He obeys all the traffic rules and never attends any calls while driving. If there is urgency, he’ll stop the car to the side and have a word on the phone. Infact, I have found most of the drivers using a mobile phone irrespective of the fact whether he is driving a Porsche, Maruti, Tata or any other car make.
Attitude! Do you really think that attitude and the feeling of being at the top are the major causes of losing concentration and perception while driving? I don’t think so. Nattering away on mobile phones causes distraction similar to what is caused when a driver is busy watching a movie on the DVD player installed in his car. Loss of concentration and alertness is just a simple distraction not attitude.
I agree with it that mobile and driving cannot go on well together. In the recent days so many accidents are caused due to the use of the cell phone while driving. But it is not that only luxury car owners do such things even a person who owns a normal car does it. Forget about the car drivers people who drive two wheelers also talk on the phone while driving where it is even more dangerous. So it doesnt matter that if you have a luxurious car you have the attitude. i dont agree that these people have attitude. they will be more cautious while driving as they would have spent more money on the cars.
It is not only that the luxury car drivers do that it happens with almost everyone. From a person who rides a cycle to a person who rides a truck. it has become common these days. But there are some people who do that but everyone has that attitude and not only the luxury car owners
Attitude... Affluency..and then break the rule..
Its true regarding rich people who drive posh cars and land in an accident. they are not even bothered about others. They feel rules are not for them. Govt should heavily penalize such people if found guilty. Its a regular scene on road and police too blink their eyes. This mentality should change and all should be treated alike.
