Mahindra Plans to Launch Electric Car to India

The small car race in India is coinciding with the electric car race.

Along with many other car manufacturers, the Mahindra & Mahindra also plans to roll out an electric car in India soon. The production of the proposed electric car is at the commencement stage and is expected to hit the Indian car market by 2010.

The company promises to make this car bigger and more effective than the currently running electric car in India. Yes, obviously talking about the great Maini Reva. The car will run on lead acid battery during its initial year and later might be replaced by the nickel metal hydride.

Mahindra & Mahindra plans to launch this car first in India and then in overseas. The motive behind launching the car first in India is to establish itself in the car segment and also to analyse the market before making a move in the global car market.

That’s a good thought, learning the market before venturing the market!

I recently read somewhere that Tata is also planning to roll out an electric car soon. This car is expected to launch overseas first and then in India. Good to know that Mahindra is not following Tata. It’s really a profitable thought to launch the car in India first and then overseas. Launching the car in India will help Mahindra to analyze the car market and make the desired changes before venturing to foreign countries.

That's true. Just a few months back, everywhere there were news and blogs on some or the other car company planning to launch small cars and now every now and then some or the other car manufacturer is into launching an electric car. The industry has become so confusing and wriggled up that it has really become difficult to think how, what and why about the Indian car industry. Even if anyone is planning to buy a new car, there is confusion as to which car to buy and then there is confusion whether to wait for the upcoming car or not. What next now?

Assume and then Establish
Guess what the Auto giant of India, Mahindra too to compete in the "Electric Car Race".
Studies are going on regarding the market and other factors. As per claim, it is going to be an effective electric car. A tough rival for Reva and Garuda- the cars of "namma city"!!

It is nice to know that the car makers are coming up with the eco-friendly cars to India. The concept of green cars should have been in India long time back but as we say better late than never. hope very soon other car makers too will introduce environmental friendly cars.
