Hybrids to Become More Durable and Reliable

A Hybrid car is an answer to the rising fuel prices as well as global warming.

Hybrid car are actually a combination of combustion engines and electric motors. Most of such vehicles run on electricity in the city and on fuel while on highways. This helps to save fuel consumption in congested city roads.

Hybrids are definitely a good alternative for fuel cars but they have always been overwhelmed by energy storage problems. With further advancements and technologies, scientists and researchers are working to design and produce high-performance energy storage units. These units are designed with a desire to increase the effectiveness, power and worth of the hybrids already running on roads.

Researchers from round the globe are pooling their expertise and knowledge along with innovative technologies to develop energy storage modules for hybrid cars.

The invention of these energy saving units for hybrids is expected to guarantee high operational reliability, enhanced performance and better durability.

  1. Hybrid Cars are becoming popular these days. I think a few days back Honda Civic Hybrid car was launched which has been the first ever hybrid car in India. Where the fuel prices are increasing tremendously in India. this is a good idea and i read somewhere that many of the car manufacturers are launching their hybrid cars in India.

  2. I feel glad to know that Indian car manufacturers are working hard to roll out better cars in order to maintain a balance between human race, comfort and environment. I know that petrol and diesel cars are causing lot of pollution and for the time being, hybrid cars are the perfect solution. But then, is India actually ready to accept such kind of cars. Do we have the infrastructure to support the running and maintenance of hybrid cars? If not, then by producing more hybrids we are just wasting our time. Rather at this stage the car companies should work to produce highly fuel efficient engines like Tata and Maruti are doing. Trust, if such engines enter the market then we won’t require hybrids at all.

  3. We cannot say that hybrid cars are becoming very famous as at present india has only one hybrid car. it is possible that the technology is interesting the Indians. it is eco-friendly but not at all pocket friendly. The hybrid cars are very expensive and not every one can afford it even if they wanna go for green cars
