Fiat India Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. is planning to set up a car design center in India which will eventually strengthen the Indian car industry and make it more promising in the global market.
Fiat is evaluating the possibility and issues associated with establishing a Research & Design Center (R&D) centre at its Ranjangaon plant in partnership with Tata Motors. Till date, the country drives to the West to design a car but now the emerging Indian market is preparing itself to learn the technical specifications.
India is believed to be a hub of technical expertise, but because of lack of infrastructure, Indians were never successful in implementing print to reality.
With Fiat planning to settle down a design center in India, Indian car manufacturers will get a better hold on the designing and other aspects of their production.

From the past few months, I am reading a lot about Fiat. Launch of the great Fiat 500, Fiat opening center to design the smallest engine and now the design center. I really think that Fiat is working hard to strengthen its presence in the country and get back its lost prominence.
Fiat experimenting nowadays. The car manufacturers, well known in India and abroad, are already in news for their decision of exporting their cars abroad, now they are again in the spotlight for their decision of setting up a car design center here in India. It will surely promote the car lovers and the automotive industry. May be in near future one can see different and modified cars rolling on the streets!!!
Yes, that's true Kirti. Fiat is doing various experiments on different technologies and measures to expand the Indian car market. I really wish that the efforts made by Fiat bring success to them. The design center will definitely bring a revolution in the Indian market and soon the appreciations will spread across the globe.
