The second facility by General Motors, which is located at the Talegaon in western Maharashtra, will be operational next month. Initially, the plant will have the capacity of producing 140,000 units of small car annually. This plant was opened to satisfy the growing demand of the Chevrolet cars.
Currently, General Motor's plant is located in Gujarat which manufactures the Chevrolet Aveo and Chevrolet Spark hatchback, as well as the Chevrolet Tavera multi-utility and other models. The company is also working on rolling out another small car to India, which will cost lesser than Spark.
The model Chevrolet Spark is doing well in the market and has also pushed the company's sales graph still higher.

General Motors expanding its hold on auto industry. With the next pant being operational in Maharashtra, its surely going to lead with the production. The competition is already on for small cars. and the new plant claims to produce over 1.5 lakh units per year, and more cheaper..Now thats some good news..
More Chevrolet's to come. With the new plant being operational form next month, General Motors, plans to manufacture more than 1 lakh units per year. They are also planning to roll out a small car which will be cheaper and of best quality. New strategies to compete in the "small car world"!!!
Chevrolet cars are doing good in the Indian market. And i like the look of spark. its looks cute and compact. a lot of car manufacturers are introducing small cars as the Indian buyers are looking out mainly for small cars. Hoping to see some more cars from Chevrolet which will be much cheaper. It will be great if there would be a car like Nano from Chevrolet.
