Tata Motors Ltd. has join hands with Italy’s Fiat SpA to sell its ultra-low cost car the Nano overseas.

Fiat has a strong presence in international market and that’s the reason why Tata Motors want Fiat to sell its dream car. Ratan Tata has a keen desire to spread the reach of his new car across the globe. This desire attracts him towards Fiat Motors so that the Nano is well marketed in various countries other than India.

Fiat has signed a joint venture with Tata to make and distribute Tata car, engines and commercial units overseas.

Tata has high hopes from this joint venture. The sluggish car sales have depressed Ratan Tata at the time when he is just about to roll out his dream car. Even with the challenges offered by high inflation, interest rates and to be increased road tax, Tata is expecting from the proposed car, the Nano, to bring out a good market for the company in India as well as overseas.

Hope the join venture goes in favour of the Nano and further aid to boost up the sales.

Ya, I think that's good for both Tata and Fiat. Fiat will have a good and fuel efficient car to market and distribute overseas whereas Tata will get an opportunity to spread the reach of its car worldwide. Good, Tata is reaping benefits from all ends.

Na, I don’t think this is a good deal for Tata. The demand for Nano is slowing down with higher expectations from the version that is about to launch next year. Many people are still making a firm decision to wait another one year for a better model. With the prospective buyers turning their back towards Nano, Tata is still trying to market the car overseas. Its Tata, their choice, I have nothing to say.

Anshuman says its right for Tata to take such a decision whereas Annie opposes Anshuman. But I will stay neutral. Its company's decision and we should not comment on it. As it is success and failure is only a minute away. Even if prospective Tata consumers are stepping back and wishing to wait for the Nano variant, may be Nano gets a good response overseas. You never know. But for sure, Tata will bring a revolution in the Indian car market with its exclusive car, Nano.
