I recently read in a newspaper that the Indian Government has declared 0% excise for electric cars and other vehicles. I am definite that this declaration must have pushed Mitsubishi to bring its Mitsubishi I MiEV model to the Indian market. I personally feel that an amount of Rs 8 lakh is worth the effectiveness and performance of the car.
I agree with what Aslam says. 0% excise duty of electric cars must have pushed Mitsubishi to launch MiEV in India. But is that the only reason? No. Car maker must have open eyes to shifting and advancing technologies in India. Indian car market is now shifting from fuel powered cars to hybrids and electric vehicles in order to reduce environmental pollution and save fuel resources.
Mitsubishi I MiEV will definitely create a benchmark in Indian car market. This will be one of the most acknowledged cars in terms of electric engine, performance and luxuries. Rs 8 lakh, I think I’ll go for it.
Oh so many of the car makers are thinking to launch cars that are eco-friendly it's amazing to hear. From past few months i have been reading a lot that many of the car makers are introducing green cars. Anyways the price is a little more but if the car is going to beat the market then its not an issue.
