Driven by the changing face of the Indian car industry, Maruti is compelled to change the face of its pioneer car, the Maruti 800.
The Maruti 800 is a hot selling Maruti car but unfortunately new entry in the car market has brought down the sales. To give a new life to 800 sales, the Maruti Suzuki Motors has rolled out a facelift model of Maruti 800, named as the Maruti Suzuki 800 Uniq.
The car is launched with a keen desire to lure customers who love ‘uniq’ things. The whole new avatar of the Maruti 800 is embodied with a host of attractive features like trendy door trims with fabric patch, all-new beige upholstery, smart lower console box, rear package tray and excellent body graphics.
The Uniq will be costlier by Rs 5200 over the regular model and will be available in all Maruti showrooms by August 4, 2008.
The company has introduced a limited edition of Uniq to judge the response of the car consumers nationwide.

I own a Maruti 800, the car is mind blowing. It doesn’t give me much of repair or maintenance like other cars. Even the repair charges are not that costly when I take it to a Maruti service center. It’s really nice to hear that Maruti is coming out with some more advanced features. The car is really compact and easy to drive in the Indian roads. With so much of traffic in the country it is best to own such a cute compact car. It provides good mileage also with the increasing fuel prices I think this is the best car to be bought.
Maruti itself is unique in all domains. Just imagine a 'Uniq'car by unique Maruti. I think the car will be just amazing. I just love Maruti.
Hey! One more car by Maruti. I really love Maruti cars. I always get fascinated towards unique things like old stamps, traditional coins, traditional crafts and many other similar items. Now, this car comes with a blend of my love and fascination. Don't get confused, it’s my love for Maruti and my fascination towards something unique. Both have come together to bring Maruti 'Uniq'. I’ll definitely buy one.
I don’t think so that Maruti Uniq will be as unique as its name. Infact there is nothing unique in Maruti cars. It is one of the oldest brands in the automotive industry but today the market is predominated with a number of better brands. I think there are many car manufacturers in India whom Maruti can never beat with its old ethics, principles and technology. I would rather go for Tata cars, Tata actually gives you what you dream.
